Gerard's P.O.V

Was I honestly seeing this right? Was Kat having phone sex? She's laughing so much I'm not sure if she can even answer me. Then it hits me. I was her first and I didn't use protection. She could be pregnant. After her first time. I'm a fucking idiot.

"What if your pregnant?" I say out loud. "We never used protection."

Kat stopped laughing. Her face dropped.

"I didn't think." She looked so sad. "I mean I want kids at some point. But not yet." I said. She was just staring at the table. She's not said a word. "Kat, sweetheart?"

She lifts her face to look at me. Her eyes were full of pain. "Do you definitely want kids, Gerard?"

I frown. "Of course. Why wouldn't I?"

I see tears in her eye's. "I can't give you a child, Gerard. Ever."

I shake my head. "You don't want kids?"

She shakes her head as a few stray tears run down her face. "You don't understand." She says with a shaky sigh. "I can't have kids. I was in a accident when I was seventeen. I damaged my womb. I CAN'T have kids."

I walk round the table and pull her into my arms. "It's okay, sweetheart." I rub her back as she hugs me back.

After a few minutes she pulls away to look at me. "Gerard." She mutters. "I do want a child. But I can't give you OUR child. I'll understand if you want me to leave. You should find someone who can give you a child."

I shake my head. "No." I kiss her on her lips. "I want you more. We can adopt."

She rests her head on my shoulder. "That's not the same."

"IVF treatment?" I will not lose her. "Whatever it takes."

She laughs. "We've only been together like two minutes and we're already talking about the future."

I laugh. "Do you need to slow down a little?"

She looks back up at me. "If that's okay?" She sighs as I nod, then rests her head on my shoulder again. "I will tell you about the accident eventually. Just not yet."

"That's okay, baby." I kiss her head. "We have all the time in the world."
