To start with, the protagonist in this novel is referred to as BB, or 'BE a BADASS'. She is your run-of-the-mill lady with an Indian figure, implying that she has an ample bosom, wide hips and a stomach that feels more like playdough and less like a washboard. She has wild curly hair, and her skin is the color of burnt sienna. She has plenty of stretch marks that look like the tigress stripes and are suggestive of the battles she has fought and is willing to fight. She dons numerous tattoos on her body. She has cellulite that would put an orange peel to shame, scars from surgeries, some of which are visible and others that run deeper.
What you don't know is that she is a superhero. Her power is that she has zero-tolerance for crap and will call you out on it. She believes, as a feminist, that both sexes should be awarded equal opportunities in life to fulfil their potential. However, she disagrees that both sexes are similar; they are just different and have unique attributes that would benefit society when used in harmony. She is not anti-men at all and does not feel the need to use them as a target for her opinions.
She is adept at using a hoverboard to move around and can use a taser, baseball bat and boxing gloves just as quickly as she can juggle work, the kids, meals and her finances. You won't see her wearing a cape and her panties outside her tights, like a superhero. She will be seen in an oversize jumper and joggers, with the latest high-top shoes and, most importantly, with a load of attitude; since we all know that if you are going to multitask and save the day, you should be comfortable in your skin while doing so.
She is not ashamed or embarrassed for anything that concerns her; she's known to have said, "#I'm Not Sorry, for being too ambitious, moody, angry, provocative, demure, loud, soft-spoken, opinionated, courageous, passionate, creative, strong, resilient, independent, intelligent, witty, adventurous, spontaneous, qualified, decisive, beautiful, brave, crazy, sexy, spiritual, honest, self-sufficient, confident, outspoken, horny, kinky, potty-mouthed, quirky, eccentric, selfish or a badass."
