Menstruation is a bloody hot topic (pun intended). Women have been made to feel secluded during that time of the month. To eat, sleep and live separately during their period. This taboo surrounding it, like most things that incite fear, comes from a place of ignorance. It's like women do not have a right over their bodies, never have and seems never will, at this rate, especially after the Supreme Court in America left the decision on individual States to take a call on whether they want to ban abortions; this is the year 2022. That's right; men still get to decide what happens to a woman's body.
Here is a fact; if a woman did not have her period, life as we know it would cease to exist; the man who said that menstruating women are impure is a result of that very process! Men enter the world through a vagina.
The Supreme Court in India passed a sound judgement when a temple that did not allow women of menstruating age to enter must do so immediately. Now, the sad reality is; that I expected some old priests and uneducated men to cause a stir and protest against this judgement but what happened instead was that many women went berserk and stopped other women from entering!
Some women had managed to enter the temple on the sly, and all hell broke loose; the temple was closed for 'purification' (these people needed to purify their filthy mindset). More women managed to enter with the help of the police, who implemented the court order, though religious and political figures were seething at this 'outrage'. As for me, I smile and say, "more power to you; you go, girl!"
Men need to be educated, and the internet has all the answers these days, so go ahead and find out what really goes on inside a woman's body instead of only trying to get into her pants.
