Still lingering upon the topic of education, but this time in another Asian country that shall remain unnamed, an article in the local newspaper stated that women outperform men once a medical school stopped the practice of rigging scores after almost a decade. The exam scores were being previously tampered with to give men the advantage. The icing on the cake was the justification for such an act. It was stated that since women tend to be more mature and have better communication skills, it's only fair that men should receive all the help they can get since they are clearly at a disadvantage. If we go by this warped thread of reasoning, then our medical issues are being treated by a hoard of idiots! That's reassuring.
When we talk about representation in the workplace and the ratio of both sexes, there is still so much to be desired. We have come a long way, but we have miles to go. Why should someone with intelligence have to apologize for another's lack of it?
