Noah

I walked down the halls to unpack the bag. August was eating nachos on the couch watching the most embarrassing show I was on.

"Hey bro, want to watch it with me?"

"Is that the season where I'm together with Emma?"

"Yeah,"

"Then no,"

"Aw come on. She's cute"

I looked at him as he sipped coke.

"Do you like my ex?"

"Kinda,"

"Well you can have her. I think Cody's cuter,"

"When did you become gay?"

"Uh, when did you start caring about me?"

"Did you at least tell Aunt Stace? She likes everything you do,"

"Because we have a lot in common. She's bisexual too so I have you beat for being the favorite,"

He rolled his eyes and turned back to watch the show.

I walked to my room to see the window open and a nerf arrow sticking to my dresser.

I rolled my eyes and closed the window right before another arrow shot against it.

"Sierra! Stop shooting!"

"No!" Then she stopped shooting.

"Thanks,"

"No thanks!"

Cody

"Hey mom!"

"Yes Cody?"

"Can I hang out with Noah?"

She sighed and slapped her spatula against her palm to show she was thinking.

"Not past curfew and you're fine,"

"Thanks," I kissed her cheek and grabbed my bag.

"Love you,"

I looked back at her and replied. "Love you too,"

I walked over to Noah's house and said hi to August as Noah rushed me upstairs as he was hurting to tell me something.

"Something wrong?"

"Yes. Very wrong,"

"Do you want to—,"

"I want to start this out say I got to get it off my chest, I have no anger, not malice, just a little bit of regret."

"What?"

"I haven't told my aunt I'm gay. And we share everything! If I tell her now, she will know I kept it a secret because just yesterday I told her I had nothing going in my life!"

"I haven't told my family about— continue,"

He rolled his eyes and looked at me.

"The point is, she will be mad if I tell her now, and she will be even madder if I wait!"

"Tell her tomorrow,"

He looked at me like I was dumb and I rolled my eyes like should have known better.

"What's wrong with tomorrow,"

"She doesn't live here in Montana. She lives in Florida."

"Then let's go to Florida. I can ask my dad if we can stay at his beach house there."

"We need parent supervision,"

"My dad lives in Alabama, he can drive us to his beach house and then get on for the proposal dinner for his girlfriend,"

"Proposal? I would never crash a man's proposal night!"

"The man needs his driving,"

"Fine,"

"Great! Pack your bag, we are going to Florida!"

"Are you going to tell your mom?"

"Trust me, it's better to not tell her,"
