Looking frantically around the lot, I knew Azrael was there even if I couldn't see him. Sure enough, a few moments later, I heard his feet on the gravel as he made his way out from the shadows.
"Fuck!" I sighed when I finally saw him there. What was it that I felt? Relief? I should be anything but relieved to see Azrael and I had to remind myself that he was no friend of mine.
"Did I scare you?" He asked but the look on his face told that he knew damn right he had. I rolled my eyes at him and he was at my side immediately, almost moving in a blur. "Now, Lena..." he said with a tsk.
Fuck.
"What do you want?" I asked him.
Looking me over head to toe, she smiled, "why, our deal of course."
I narrowed my eyes at him, "now?"
"Now." He smirked. "I mean, who knows how long Noah will be gone? I wanted to make sure we got the most out of our time without him."
"You sent him to California." I sassed him. "I doubt he'll be back soon."
Azrael gave me a look that I couldn't quite place as he held back something he knew that I didn't, "you would think, huh?"
I raised my eyebrow, "I told you not to come to the club anymore."
Azrael looked at me with amusement as he stepped even closer to me and brushed a strand of hair from my face with his finger and I held my breath, "you don't tell me anything." There was that terror, filling me all over again but I didn't move. I could feel Azrael's breath on me as he traced my jawline with is finger next.
"Can we just get this over with?" I asked him, my voice coming out more like a deflated squeak.
"As you wish." He smiled and gestured to my truck parked not far from where we stood. Beside it, a bright red motorcycle was parked. It looked expensive and really fast. I walked to my car and Azrael opened the door for me as I got in. "I came here because you didn't give me your address."
I looked at him as he stood beside my truck and stared intently at me. I knew damn well he could have found my address regardless if I gave it to him myself or not. "You really couldn't have found it?"
He shrugged, "I'm trying to keep to these boundaries," he gestured to the space between him and I.
Ha, what a joke. Azrael didn't give a shit about boundaries.
"Fine." I sighed as I closed the car door and headed to my house, the motorcycle's headlight directly behind me the entire time.
Pulling up my driveway, Azrael turned off the bike and climbed off sexily, taking off the helmet and letting his thick hair fall to his shoulders. I hated that he was so attractive. It would be so much easier to hate him if he were hideous.
"You like your privacy, huh?" Azrael asked and I nodded as he followed me up the porch steps and I unlocked the front door. Pushing into the house, he examined my place as he walked through the rooms.
I liked being out in the open space. I liked not having neighbors and up until I met Azrael, I enjoyed not having anyone around for miles. But, as he walked through my house like we were friends, it made me nervous being out here without anyone to go to for help. Although, what help could any of the locals actually be against someone like Azrael? If I needed help, there wasn't anyone that could help me.
"Can I take a shower?" I asked Azrael and immediately regretted the opportunity I gave him as a grin swept his chiseled jaw and he raised an eyebrow.
