Chapter 7

Marinettes pov:
I'm not exactly sure how long I've been here for, but I know it's been a couple days. I have only seen chat noir in my time being here so far ,and the way he warns me to hold my tongue if the others are around makes me feel like I don't want to see them.

"Knock knock" a voice I don't recognise speaks through the door. I'm hesitant and don't reply but they enter anyway. A beautiful girl I've never seen before enters the room, by the looks of it she isn't a miraculous holder. "Hello marinette, I'm lila." She walks closer to me smiling and leans out a hand. I stay frozen, she has an aura about her that I don't like, "I've heard a lot about you, chats very fond."
"where is chat" I think to myself.
"Not very talkative are you?
Well I guess I'll cut straight to the point then." She walks back and locks the door from the inside. turning back to look at me, she sits at the end of the bed. "I don't know what you and chat exactly are, but you should watch out. he isn't a good person, I would be wary of him. He's done things normal people his age don't even know about. You have no idea what he is truly like.
I want him to love me! and I know he would want me back if you didn't exist. but he only wants your body marinette, I'm giving you a warning, kapeesh?"
She says with positivity. I'm terrified. who is she? Is she dating chat? The feeling of jealousy aches deep in my stomach but I brush it off quickly. I nod to her as a monkey miraculous holder enters the room. He's swinging a key around his finger,
"chat would kill you if he knew you were talking to her, foxy". She looks at me and smiles, then stands up and walks out of the room while flicking her hair. "Til next time marinette. toodles" and with that they both leave the room.

Adriens pov:
As I'm walking home from school I hear nino running to catch up behind me. "Adrien!, are you going to see marinette today?" he puffs, out of breath. My eyes go wide. I grab him by his shirt and pull him into an alleyway. "Nino! you can't just say that in the open. What the fuck would we do if someone heard and reported it. Everyone is really freaked out by marinettes kidnapping and we don't need to draw attention towards ourselves." He looks at me stunned as if he didn't realise how much he just put at stake, "shit dude I'm sorry I didn't realise". I look around, then walk out of the alleyway him by my side and we walk back towards my house but as we get there I feel the familiar ache to see mari. It's been 2 days since I've seen her and I'm worried one of my partners in crime might be causing drama. Maybe we should go see her. I think to myself.
"Wanna go check up on her?" Nino whispers as if reading my thoughts.
"yes I think that would be a good idea." We head towards the car in front of my fathers house and usher inside it while I tell my driver to assert us to the warehouse.

It's around 5:30 in the evening (hour after school ended) when we arrive. We hop out of the car and walk towards the building when we hear yelling coming from inside, me and nino look at each other then speed walk to the entrance.
"what's going on!" I yell once I'm inside and I see Lila standing next to Kim having a yelling match. The entire gang is here. They stop and stare when they see me and Lila tries to hide a bloodied fist behind her back. "Adrien!, kim is overreacting and he needs to calm down because nothing wrong has happened," she narrows her eyes, growling at him and Kim backs off. "Im going to check on marinette and after your going to explain all this to me, there will be no fighting when we are all in this situation together."
I steam off heading towards where marinette is being kept and turn the corner to her door.
I knock lightly "princess, it's me. Can I come in?" I don't hear anything from the other side and it worries me but maybe she's just asleep. "Plagg claws on" I transform and enter the room.

Marinette isn't on the bed and it takes me a panicked second to realise she is in the corner of the room crying with the blanket wrapped tightly around her. When she sees me, she stands and walks over to me and hugs me tightly. "Hey, what's going on?" I say softly and when she looks up at me I realise the cut across her face bleeding and bruised. "Marinette what the fuck happened to you?" I ask as I grab her chin and tilt it towards me so I can have a better look. She just continues crying so I pick her up. She fights with resistance as I expected but ultimately gives up and I take her to the bed. I sit her down as I grab the blanket she had and sit down next to her. "Baby, what did they do to you?" I ask and she suddenly faces me furious.
"I'm not your baby! I want to go home please chat," she starts to beg as more tears run down her face "it's horrible here and you can't stay and protect me from them all the time. She hurts me and picks on me. I'm so scared all the time and I just want my mom and dad." She says collapsing into a weeping fit I grab her and pull her into my arms so we're sitting up right, she's on my lap. For once she willingly comes close to me. "I'm sorry, I won't call you that again. But seriously princess, Who hurt you?"
I can guess it was Lila but I want to hear it from mari.
"It was no body."she says sounding utterly defeated,
"I know that they have threatened you but you have to tell me who hurt you so I can deal with them accordingly.". She stays silent and weeping.

We need her alive and not hurt Lila! The fuck do you think you were doing! did you even think of what could happen? Don't you want the thousands of euros her parents will pay for her "safe" return" I yell at her.
"How dare you yell at me! I was teaching that brat some respect, that she should answer when spoken too" that's all it takes and my anger boils over taking control I grab the hand she used to hurt marinette and twist it behind her back until she's begging in pain for me to stop, and then theres a "crack" and she falls to the floor in agony.
"Everyone get the message!?" I yell "we need her alive god dammit!"
the 30 people around me are all agreeing. Max rushes to her side, "I'll take lila to the hospital now."
I nod. "End of discussion. if anyone has any problems talk to ME about them. I don't need anyone else hurt" I say looking at Lila " but you will respect my boundaries. It was determined that I'm to lead and my word goes."

Things like this don't happen often but when they do it's over and done with. We don't mention the situation again. ever.
