Chapter 32

Marinettes pov:
The past 3 days, I've been resting. My headaches have gone away since the lila incident and chats been gone during the main parts of the day.
I don't know how I didn't notice before but I've realised chat only leaves during school hours apart from when he is with his gang at the warehouse.
So I'm guessing he goes to school, and if I know him in civilian form I'm guessing my school.

Alyas pov:
It's been over a month since marinette was abducted. I spend almost every night trying to find any trace of her or chat. A few days ago we got a strong lead.
On friday night, there's going to be a fight for the territory surrounding the Eiffel Tower, between chats gang, and another less known, but still strong gang. Bloodreds.
I'm going to lead the main group into the middle of it as a distraction, as ladybug and evillustrator follow a lead of this girl called lila, she claims to know where chats head quarters are. She also says she knows where marinette is. She wants immunity in return which ladybug agreed too, if her story held out.
There's no actual address, it's in the middle of a thick forest and it takes about and hour by car to reach.
I'm trying to plan which direction would be best to come from as I'm disturbed from my thoughts, "alya," Nino whispers next to me. School for the day has finished and everybody's walking out of the classroom.
"Hey nino, I can handle the last of the project by myself today if you want to go somewhere with alya." Adrien walks up to us. Nino's eyes shine as he says "that's great, thanks adrien." Nino asked me to be his girlfriend about 3 weeks after marinettes incident. He's the only person keeping me from losing it all, I really love him and I'm so happy to have him. I hug his arm, "can we just chill at your place today?" I just want to lay in bed and hug him. "Of course baby." He kisses me, adrien nods towards nino, "how you holding up alya?" He puts a hand on my shoulder, he seems to be handling himself better since the start of the incident. "I'm doing okay. Thankyou adrien." I smile at him, even if it's a bit of a lie I'm happy he isn't suffering. "I'm always here if you need to talk." He's supportive and I'm happy to call him my friend. "I miss her. So so much." I sigh, and nino wraps his arm around me. "We know," he kisses my forehead. "I'll talk to you guys later." adrien says and heads off.

It's about 10 in the night as I finish my patrol as rena, and head back towards headquarters to make my report to ladybug.
As I enter I realise I'm first back, and lilas on a phone in the main room. She has her back turned towards me and doesn't realise I've returned.
'Where did she get a phone, she's in protective care and should not have any access to that.'
So, on a hunch, I hide behind the wall listening. "Yes ladybug believes me, she is going through with the plan on friday nothing's changed." There's a long pause but I can't hear what the other participant of the call says, "no. No ones here, there all keeping a look out for chat. They're idiots of course he won't just walk around as chat, he's going around in his civilian form." Ladybug enters the room behind me and the door slams shut. "I'll call you back." Lila says and hides the phone in her bra as she hangs up. Ladybug looks at me, "what are you doing there?" Fuck, I can't just tell her lilas not telling the truth. "I was just walking in and I was thinking." She believes me, as we walk around the corner together lila is sitting at a table in our small compound. We don't have many people in our protective group, but we're all strong and fierce. You don't mess with us unless you want to get hurt. "Hey lila how are you going?" Ladybug asks her. "I'm going okay, did you only just get back?" Does she suspect one of us were listening, I panic and answer for ladybug. "We just got back together, me and ladybug met at the front door." Ladybug gives me a confused look, and mouths 'meet me out back' and smiles at lila. "I'll be back, me and rena are going to wait for the others outside." She walks towards the back door and motions me to follow, "alright ladybug." Lila says all too cheerful.
"What was that about?" Ladybug asks me, "look ladybug, I saw lila on-" I get cut off from queen bee coming in through the back. "Ladybug! We need you and rena now. We've spotted carapace and Pegasus at the Eiffel Tower!" Ladybug looks at me "tell me later." And she zips away following queen bee as I join in.
