Chapter 25

Marinettes pov:
"I woke up to a door slamming, and when I turned around you weren't there, then there was running on the stairs so I hid under the bed," chat interrupts me, "but didn't you think it could have been me?" I rub my head against his chest. He's warmer now and we're sitting up on a couch just outside the nursing block. "At first yes, but then I realised you wouldn't need to run up the stairs if you just left for some water or something." He looks guiltily at me. "I'm sorry marinette, I had to go back to the warehouse." "It's okay chaton. as I was saying. She came into the room and looked around, then she went back out. I heard her check the rest of upstairs before going back down to look more closely. I thought Kim might of still been home so I ran into his room, and she must have heard me." All the images are flashing and it just makes me angrier, who does she think she is. "She threw me to the ground and as she tried to get on top of me, but I punched her in the face," chat looks proud, "I wish you could've done more damage princess," and he runs his nose through my hair. I giggle, happy to be with him. "And as I did that it gave me time to get up and run for the stairs, which as I got to, she tackled me, and I think we both hit our heads. I got up and I felt really really dizzy, and everything was blurry after that." I'm trying to recall what happened after that but I can't remember and I look up at chat, "you okay?" He asks. "I don't know what happened after that," he takes my hand and brings it up to his mouth, kissing each knuckle, and I realise they're bruised.

Chats pov:
As marinette retreats her hand she sees the small bruises on her knuckles. She's so strong but also so fragile. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news princess," she flicks her attention towards me again, "but because of what happened I want to keep you here for another week or 2." And she just looks away sadly and wraps her arms as best she can around my waist, she closes her eyes and we just sit there.
"Beep. beep. beep." my ring goes off and I know that I have to recharge.
"When will you be back?" Marinette asks, knowing what the beeping means. "Soon as I can, but now your awake and can talk properly, I'll have our health visor come and look at you," I smile at her.
Of course Mia isn't a professional in the health department, but she's on her final year at medically school, she also has help from 4 other people in our gang who are also all in their final or soon to be final year of medical practice.

Marinettes pov:
As chat exits down a large hallway I make my way inside the small room with the beds, a small red haired woman walks in. Nodding at chat as he leaves. I don't recognise her and she isn't wearing a mask so I'm guessing she's the 'health carer' here.
"Hello marinette, it's good to know your awake and can remember what happened." She says to me all smiley. I can tell she's been ordered to be nice to me. "Yea," I nod, I don't know if I trust her and I sure as hell know she clearly doesn't like me. "Not very talkative I see," I nod in reply. "Don't worry as soon as I've finished looking over you once again, you can head out." Her red hair is tied into space buns on her head with loose hairs falling out at the back, she looks stressed.
As she leads me to another room I pass the hallway doors and I see a familiar face just passing by about 6 metres away. I stop dead in my tracks.
my knees start feel weighted and I fall, staggering to the ground. I'm looking at my hands as I can't believe who I've just seen. I hear a muffled voice as hands reach to my shoulders and I'm looking up into the eyes of the so called nurse again.
"Marinette, are you okay?" She asks semi worried. I nod my head in response and she helps me as I get to my feet again.
Why the fuck is nino here?
