Chapter 13

Adriens pov:
Shit.
I wake up as adrien with marinette in my arms, i de transformed in my sleep. I won't have enough time to leave without her seeing me so I grab a spare black mask sitting in my bedside table and slide it on.
"Chat.." marinette slowly comes out of her sleep, disturbed by my movement.
"Morning sunshine," I smile at her. She just looks at me, no doubt still mad from my fight with Kim last night.
"I'm really sorry about last night, I'll talk to Kim and we'll work it out."
She sighs and lays her head on my chest again, "do you have to go somewhere today as well?" She speaks. "I'm sorry princess but yes, I'll be back as soon as I can." I was thinking last night before I went to sleep, she did say she wanted more freedom, and she didn't run yesterday when she had the chance. But then again no one is here to make sure of it and I won't have the alarms set until this afternoon when I get back from school. "You can explore the upstairs if you want today but mari, please don't go downstairs yet. I trust you, I really do. but until tomorrow you have to stay up here." She sits up on me and looks happier than before, "your trusting me alone for the day? And I can agree to only staying upstairs," she looks so beautiful and happy,
"I do trust you yes. we are surrounded by woods remember so even if you just want a quick look outside it's easy to get lost." I say warning her, and she nods. "Good," I sit up accidentally pushing her off me , "sorry," I mumble.
And with that i get up and go prepare for the day, I'll make it to school on time aswell.

Marinettes pov:
As chat leaves the house I wonder vaguely if I should try and escape today, but he's right I have no idea where I am and I don't feel like being eaten by wild animals in a forest if I get lost. I'll stay inside for today. But I should get familiar with the house, so it's easier to get out if and when I need to.

Adriens pov:
As I enter the classroom I notice Alya, nino, rose, Juleka and Mylène aren't there. I go and sit down when the officer from the back of the class comes up to me.
"Are you adrien agreste?" He says with a husky voice
I swallow, "yes that's me."
"Come with me." And I follow him out of the classroom,
I might have to fight my way out of here if they've figured out I'm chat noir.
As we reach the principals office I notice that the people missing from class are inside here, including marinettes parents. As I sit down I whisper to Alya, "what's going on? why are we all here?" She looks at me just as confused " no one knows yet. we are just waiting for Alix to get here now." As I listen to Alya I relax, this isn't about me being chat noir, thank god.
And around 15 minutes of silence later alix arrives and is sat down next to rose.
"Now that your all here I can begin," the principal says, "your marinettes closest friends and we need to know." He pauses before continuing. "did marinette ever express any oppinions about running away? Was she familiar with the criminal chat noir in anyway?" We all sit in stunned silence.
"You think she ran away!" Alya yells,
"Why would she do that! No, she has never wanted to run away she loved her life here." Alya says getting upset. "It was that stupid alley cat! he kidnapped her from her bedroom! Did none of you listen to ladybug." She's now crying as nino and the others go to comfort their heart broken friend.
