Miraculous Kidnapped au, opposites attract

Chapter 14

Marinettes pov:
Sunday night.
Chat noir didn't leave yesterday and he's stayed with me most of today, apart from when Kim came back. I'm stuck in chat noirs room as they talk it out downstairs.
I can't explain why I trust chat, surely there's more too it than he protects me from the others. I wouldn't even be here in danger if he didn't kidnap me in the first place.
I don't know who he is beneath the mask, but he's so achingly familiar.
I turn away from the window im looking out of as chat noir and Kim walk into the room, "hey marinette.." Kim says to me, I look at chat. He kept telling me not to talk to anyone else but he nods assuring me to speak.
"Hi Kim.." I force a smile,
"I want to apologise for pushing you into the staircase i wasn't really thinking straight and it just happened, me and ad- I mean chat noir shouldn't have fought like that but these things happen and it's best for you to stay out of the way."
Chat was about to kill you idiot! I want to shout at him but I hold my tongue, "your right, I shouldn't have gotten involved. But you shouldn't doubt me,  I'm stronger than I look." I giggle puffing out my chest. Kim awkwardly laughs while chat just smirks at me. I find myself blushing and looking away from his green eyes. I shift off of the window seat I'm sitting on and walk over to Kim putting out my hand, he takes it and shakes. "Alrighty then, now that we've cleared all that up, I'm going downstairs to watch a movie," and off he goes.
I look at the clock at the side of chats bed and it reads 1:24 pm.
"Would you like to join him?" Chat asks,
"I'm not sure he likes me, I think I'd rather keep my distance." I say looking down at the floor again. "Don't worry mari, I'll sit in between you two. Watch a movie with me." I look up to see he's smiling at me, holding out his hand, I take it.
Me and chat have gotten closer in the week or so that I've known him, sure he's intimidating but he's also funny and charming.
I know that by the way I'm feeling I'm only going to get hurt if I follow him into his darkness. But he's so alluring and I find myself wanting more. "Can I change into something first?" I ask. He pauses, "Of course, would you like me to wait out here or downstairs?" He asks me "Wait outside the door please" I reply. he bows smirking, then shuts the door as he walks out.
I scramble through the draws chat put clothes in for me, and find the black shorts I wore my first night I was here and a t shirt that looks like chats. I chuck them on and open the door.
Chat turns and looks at me, "I like your shirt marinette," he's teasing me. "It's comfortable and I like it too." I say pursing my lips. "Come he says pulling my hand and we go downstairs, Kim has the start of a movie on pause as he cooks some, I think popcorn? And as we fully turn the corner to the kitchen "hey chat, done with mari for the day?" He jokes, "actually I invited her to join us for a movie." He says chirpy and I poke my head around the corner. The look on Kim's face is funny and I giggle, he collects himself then says . "Sure, works with me, but this popcorn is mine." He jokes smiling chat nods and takes me to the couch. It's big enough to fit 6 people comfortably, so he takes one of the corners and I awkwardly sit down next to him. "I thought you were gonna sit in the middle," I say sulking. "Yes I know, but I thought maybe you would like a buddy to soften up the couch. And he reaches my waist pulling me to his chest. I'm laying between his perked up knees and blushing like a madman. "If you don't like this position however I guess I could move and sit in the middle," he sighs. I know the game he is playing so I put down the full weight of my petite figure and settle down in his arms. And for the first time since being here I feel safe and, I think happy.

Chats pov:
At the end of the first movie, Kim and marinette get into an amusing argument over the next movie to watch. "My princess is feisty," I whisper in her ear and she giggles looking up at me in response. "Come on Kim you chose the first movie let me choose it now," marinette whines and ultimately wins the argument.
While she flicks through the movies with the remote, Kim complains about how we're out of popcorn. "I'll go get some, it will be quick," I say wriggling marinette off me and standing up. "Your leaving me," marinette says with a panicked look in her eyes and she peeks over at Kim "sorry, I didn't mean it like that," and Kim shrugs letting it slide.
"Don't worry little lady I can look after you. while the cats away the mice will play." He says mocking me jokingly. "Very funny Kim, I'll be back soon." I glare at him, warning not to do anything stupid. He just puts his hands up innocently.
And with that i take my baton and start on a quick maybe 20 minute journey to a supermarket.
It's around 3 in the afternoon when I realise I'm being followed by a boy I'm all too familiar with. I turn around to face him when I'm knocked off the building I'm on and onto a bridge. I land with a heavy thud and scramble up onto my feet immediately.
Ladybug and evillustrator are standing in front of me, I don't have time for that guys petty remarks today,
"where's the girl chat?" Ladybug yells at me, "she's safe ladybug, I've done her no harm!" I yell back at her, "by kidnapping her, you've done her harm, her family harm, and all her friends harm." Evillustrator says.
"Give her back to her family or we will have to use force chat," ladybugs tells me.
Evillustrator and i have history together, once we were partners in crime and he was on my side.

That changed completely one day.
He was the one who warned ladybug I was going after marinette, all because he was jealous. He betrayed the entire gang and changed sides to be with a pesky bug.
He had caught feelings for the bluenette as well and thought that we should just let her choose who she wanted as normal people.
Since then he has changed his mind and has feelings for his love bug , even though she doesn't want him back, he will do anything to please the "hero" of Paris.

Chats pov:
For some reason I get a pang of jealousy, they want to take marinette away from me, I won't let that happen. Not when she's finally warming up to me.
"she's mine luster" i know that name pisses him off, "get your own piece of art some time" ladybug looks confused as evillustrator creates a box that falls on top of me, and I'm seemingly trapped from the outside. "I found a new piece of art night time," he's mocking me now and I narrow my eyes at him. "And I don't need to kidnap her to tell her that I have a kindergarten crush on her either." He's getting on my nerves. "I'll see you on the flip side," I bow, looking up at their confused faces, then they're realisation sets in as they run towards the box, trying to stop me. "cataclysm!" I drake my fingers over the ground beneath me.
The bridge crashes into the river below and all three of us fall in. I take my chance and escape while I can.
Knowing ladybug she would have had backup on the way and I wouldn't be able to take all of them on by myself.
with that i swim off and de transform in an alleyway close by.
