Deep Waters

12:Twelve

It's Pierce's last day before he fly to LA and of course, he is spending it with Meryl, Apollo, and Selene.

"Papa, when you are not here, Selene can't go to our apartment?"Apollo asked as Pierce go to the kitchen to grab something for the kids.

"Of course, she can. Just ask your mom and she will talk to Selene's grandma."Pierce said and Apollo nodded.

"Daddy, I wanna go with you."Selene uttered, sitting on Pierce's lap.

"But baby, daddy is going to work. Grandma will be here."Pierce said softly and Selene hugged him tight.

"And you have school, baby."Pierce added and tears started rolling down her cheeks.

"Don't cry, baby. After daddy's work, I promise that we will go to the park with Apollo and your mama."Pierce said but Selene just kept on crying.

"Selene, papa needs to work but he will be back, I promise."Apollo said and he sat across Pierce and Selene.

"But I'm going to miss daddy."Selene retorted.

"Papa will miss you too but you will be with your grandma and I promise, mommy and I will visit you. We will play in our apartment and then we will eat pizza, and fries, until papa comes back."Apollo said and Pierce smiled.

"You heard your brother, baby."Pierce whispered.

"Can I stay at mama's apawtment?"Selene asked.

"No baby, but grandma will stay with you."Pierce answered and Selene cried harder.

"Why is mama's princess crying?"Meryl asked as she arrive in the living room with their dinner.

"Because mommy, Selene wants to stay with us while papa is working."Apollo answered and Meryl looked at Pierce and Selene who is still crying.

"She can stay with us. My mom is there and I'll be there."Meryl said and Pierce looked at her.

"Merl, no. It's too much and I don't know how can I ever repay you."Pierce said softly nd Meryl smiled at him.

"Pierce, it is not too much. And besides, I don't want my baby Selene getting sad."Meryl said and Pierce looked down at Selene.

"Daddy please?I want to stay with mama."Selene uttered, looking up at her father.

"Promise daddy that you will be a good girl, you will not make grandma and your mama mad."Pierce said and Selene nodded as she quickly wipe her tears that made Pierce giggle.

"I pwomise, daddy."Selene uttered, still sniffing.

"Okay then, stop crying."Pierce said and Selene wiped her tears on her father's shirt.

They immediately had their fun dinner, and of course, Pierce and Meryl helped them prepare for bed after.

"Is it really okay that Selene will stay at your place?"Pierce asked Meryl once the kids are already asleep.

"Pierce, yes. And Selene is like my daughter, I will take care of her while you are gone. You don't have to repay me or anything."Meryl answered and Pierce just nodded.

"I'm gonna miss you."Pierce said softly and Meryl slowly wrapped her arms around his waist.

"I'm gonna miss you, too. The kids are gonna miss you."Meryl replied and he kissed her forehead.

"You're beautiful."He whispered and she smiled.

"You're beautiful."Meryl replied and Pierce cupped her face.

"It's only for a week and a half. That will be fast. I can call every night from there, before you guys go to sleep."Pierce said and Meryl tiptoed to kiss his nose.
