26:Twenty-Six

"I'm sorry, ms. Streep."The doctor replied and that made her cry more.

"Tell me my baby's okay!"Meryl screamed and tears just kept on rolling down her cheeks.

"Tell me my baby's okay..."Meryl almost breathlessly cried as she feel her world stop with the fact that her baby's gone.

"Meryl, Meryl,"A voice called for her as they try to shake her.

"Meryl,"That voice called for her again and that made her inhale sharply before opening her eyes.

"Are you okay?"That voice asked and she looked to her right.

"Y-yes, I am. Where are we?"She asked.

"We are on the way home to New York, remember?"The person beside her asked.

"My baby is not gone?"Meryl asked all of a sudden.

"No. After you bled a few days ago, Pierce took care of you and you still went to the party before he left."The person beside her answered and it made her sigh of relief.

"The plane is landing and I noticed that you're crying in your sleep that's why I woke you up."The person beside her uttered and she just nodded.

"Our baby's haunting me in my dream because I just let her father leave without us talking."Meryl thought as she bit her lower lip.

The plane landed after a few more moments and since Meryl is with one of the producers, they dropped Meryl off at her apartment's building. She headed straight to their apartment, slowly went in, and she found the living room and the kitchen empty. She headed to their room and it is also empty. It's just her and her baby.

"I guess we have to wait for your brother, sister, and your daddy."Meryl said under her breathe and she suddenly heard a door open and shut that made her eyes go round.

"H-hey."Meryl greeted Pierce. Of course, it is him. He looked at her and it shocked him seeing her.

"You're home."Pierce said and she slowly nodded.

"You, too. I mean, you're home early."Meryl said with a nervous giggle.

"Yeah. We don't have lots of things to do at the theater."Pierce said and Meryl nodded.

"Where are the kids?"Meryl asked as Pierce put on his clothes.

"Your mom took them out because there is this new place just around the block. A play area for kids and the two really wanted to go there."Pierce answered.

"Pierce?"Meryl called for him and he looked at her right away with a hum.

Meryl stood up right away and she ran to him, hugging him tight.

"I'm sorry."Meryl whispered and Pierce kissed the top of her head.

"It's okay, love. I know it's just pregnancy hormones and jealousy but don't be jealous, okay?I love you so much."Pierce said and Meryl looked up at him.

"I love you, too."Meryl replied and Pierce planted a soft kiss on her lips.

"How was our baby when I left, huh?"Pierce asked and Meryl softly giggled.

"Nothing bad happened, thank God."Meryl answered and Pierce kissed her forehead.

"What do you wanna do while the kids are still out?"Pierce asked and Meryl shook her head.

"I'll just take a quick shower and I'll nap, is that okay?"Meryl asked and Pierce nodded.

"Of course, baby."Pierce answered that made her widely smile.
