32:Thirty-Two

"I think, my water broke."Meryl answered that also made Pierce's eyes go round.

"What?Babe, you're only on your 29th week!"Pierce exclaimed before he helped her stand up.

"Pierce, I'm not joking, my water broke."Meryl retorted.

"Oh, my God, what are we going to do?The uhmm the baby bag, no, no, you need to change your clothes first."Pierce said as he grab fresh sets of clothes for Meryl.

"Do you need help, love?Or I'll call your mom, your brothers?"Pierce asked and tears started rolling down her cheeks.

"Something is wrong with our baby, Pierce!"Meryl roared that made Pierce stop.

"Okay, we're going to the hospital now. I'm calm."Pierce said before he carried Meryl bridal style and he grabbed the hospital bag before going out of their room.

"Apollo, Selene!"Pierce yelled and the two went to him right away.

"Apollo, get the apartment keys in my back pocket. We're going to the hospital."Pierce said and Apollo quickly obeyed his father. The family headed out of their apartment and when they reached the street, they started calling for a cab.

"P-Pierce, my contractions are starting."Meryl cried.

"Sir, please, can you drive faster?"Pierce asked the cab driver as he massage her hand.

"We're going to the hospital, love."Pierce whispered and he kissed her forehead.

"I'm sorry."Meryl whispered.

"No, no, nothing's wrong with our baby, okay?He is just early."Pierce said softly.

When they reached the hospital, they rushed her to the emergency room and they inserted an IV line right away.

"How many weeks pregnant?"The nurse asked.

"29 weeks."Pierce answered.

"2cm dilated and now, we're going to transfer you to a private room while we call your doctor."The nurse said and Pierce nodded.

They did some tests on Meryl before they transfer her to a private room and Pierce is just beside Meryl who just can't stop her cries.

"Is our baby going to be okay?"Meryl asked almost a whisper and Pierce kissed her temple.

"Our baby is okay, my love. He is just early but he is okay."Pierce answered and she buried her face on his neck.

"Daddy, is mommy okay?"A voice asked all of a sudden and it is Apollo.

"Yes, bud, mommy's okay."Pierce answered.

"You guys wanna go up here?"Meryl asked all of a sudden and the two nodded with a smile. Pierce carried them to Meryl's side right away and Apollo and Selene kissed their mother.

"I love you both, okay?"Meryl said softly.

"We love you, too, mommy."Apollo said and Meryl smiled.

"Our baby brother is going to be okay, mommy?"Selene asked and Meryl nodded.

"He will be okay, princess."Meryl answered and Selene rested her head on her mother's baby bump while caressing it that made her smile.

After a few moments, they heard a knock on the door before a doctor came in.

"Hello, mrs. Brosnan, how are you feeling?"The doctor asked right away.

"Feeling contractions but I am more worried about the baby."Meryl answered.

"So I looked at some of the tests that they did and you are healthy so the possible reason why you're giving birth early is you have a weakened cervix."The doctor said that made Meryl's eyes go round.
