The colour orange began tainting the skies of Tokyo as the sun began setting down for the day. It happened somewhere during the month of July, about two or so weeks before the start of summer break. In one of the parks in Tokyo, many watched as one's heart was shattered like a a thin sheet of ice. The tension of the entire situation was so thick that one could cut it by simply using their nails.

On the left side, there were the Hagiwara High students Hikaru Hata, Hisano Kakugawa and Renji Akiyama; on the right, the Fukushima University students Emon Kiba, Han Kaminari, Bruno Ghirga and Izuku Akira; and standing behind the victim were the students and members of Heiwa Academy's student council, those being Fujiko Abe, Joe Zaizen, Jerome Abbacchio, Aijou Fukai and Yuri Hayasahida, aswell as a friend of them, Masato Onizuka, who held up his phone, through which he face timed another friend of the group, that being Gin Fuchigami. All shared the same reaction. Eyes were widened, their hearts felt sorry, their minds were filled with shock.

On the center of this all were two other people. Firstly, there was Ryuuga Sawada, the victim. He was on the floor, supported by his knees and left hand. His right hand gripped the left side of his shirt, over his heart. He stared down at the floor with wide open eyes, shock and despair filled his face.

And secondly, there was Homura Saki, the attacker. She stood across him, arms crossed with her right foot slammed on top of a bench. She looked down on the boy, carrying a look in her eyes that expressed how she saw him as something lower than a vermin.

"Oh? So we play some card games and you think you can act all chummy with me? What an idiotic bastard. Drop dead, you idiot." Homura spoke, anger dripping from every letter of every word that left her mouth. She looked to the side and spat on the ground, then began walking away, not looking back even once to see the man who's heart she had murdered.

'W-why... Why the hell...'

What little strength he had left was gone. Ryuuga let go of the grip on his shirt and accepted his fate, falling on the ground like someone who had been murdered on the spot. With a heart broken to more pieces than people watching him fall into despair, his eyes turned dark as he drowned in his own pain.

'Why me... WHY MEEEEEEEEE?!'

With the war against the Incomplete Arcana having come to a close and the end of semester exams done by the end of June, the two cousins Ryuuga and Joe had an idea. Starting from July, they wanted to have a shot at real life, so their idea was to move out and live on their own, with "their own" between big quotation marks.

What actually happened was that Ryuzaki Mikazuchi, Ryuuga's boss on Ryuzaki & Co., had given a shot at real estate on his free time, so he had a two story high building, with about two apartments per floor, good to be used, but lacked people to move in since he didn't had an amount of rent set in stone yet. So instead, when hearing about the idea that Ryuuga and Joe had to find the taste of real life, he offered them a deal: Joe would begin working alongside Ryuuga on Ryuzaki & Co., and in exchange, the two could move in into one of the apartments on the building, without having to pay rent or any bills at all. However, they would also not gain any money from the work they did in Ryuzaki & Co., so they basically worked for a place to stay, and would only get money if they got called in last second, with the only thing they'd need to use money in would be things they'd need. However, because the two were so set on living by themselves, neither accepted much money from their parents to help them whenever they needed, so both ended up taking jobs on other places. They'd only accept small quantities, around half what they'd needed for food.
