Hello you beautifuls weebs, it's your boy Author-san Shida, writing up the big final Author's Note of Spiral Soul now that the story has finally come to an end. The Spiral series began shortly after the start of V-Series and now it has ended before Overdress, do you feel old yet? My hands and eyes sure do.

Over a year ago I began writing Spiral Soul, shortly before the start of August last year, but guess who was being a giant procrastinating guy with no work ethic? I was. It's funny. I dislike leaving finishing chapters for saturdays, I like to have the weekend free and sometimes do stuff on sunday if I feel like it, but during the first volume of Spiral Soul, before all the work ethic memes began, I lacked the will to finish the chapters on my personal deadline. The somehow wanting to write the Hagiwara chapter gave me the boost, I became the guy with the work ethic of writing chapters ahead of time, boom, thanks Taira.

All memes aside, it was a wild ride. From shy boy Ryuuga to overworked bad boyfriend Ryuuga to happily married man and branch manager Ryuuga, this shit was while. You can look back on the books and see my tastes at the time on certain parts, like Hikaru watching Black Clover in a cinema, all the Jojo music at the start of SS and the romcom stuff of the final arc. As this story grew, I grew with it as a person. As I write this, I'm officially an adult. 

But I went from dumb teenager to dumb young adult, most of things still are the same, only that now I can start whaling without feeling bad for it. And you're not here for the cute stuff, you're here for the memes this AN will bring, such as the stuff that got changed before the story began/during its publishing, so let's get into it.

-I heavily considered having RyuuFuji finished during the jump from ST to SS. If it happened, the story would have begun with Ryuuga going on dates with multiple girls to move on from Fujiko, such as Yuri and Aijou. That didn't end up by happening. Thank god. RyuuJou is cursed.

-Abbacchio x Aijou was a thing but their best friend chemistry was too strong and then Claret Sword swung by so I just began pogging over Ichigo bullying a child with big thick sword man and getting the girl back. Instead, Abbacchio hooked up with Ryuzaki's assistant Mina. Remember when Mina and Ryuuga seemed to start being a thing? Yeah, she found someone better.

-The cover with Ryuuga staring at Homura's boobs was accidental. I didn't start taking RyuuHomu serious until the start of the Incomplete Arcana arc, and with me getting into romcom anime by the end of the arc because lol what was having school other than by videochat, I began taking it more serious with my newly found knowledge.

-I have taken inspiration from many things to a point that it wasn't even subtle. Do I regret it? Hell nah bitch, I like what I did. RyuuHomu took two chapters to be Oresuki x Quintessential Quintuplets x Maid-sama x Love is War, the Dream Team was a Holy Grail War before I knew what a Holy Grail War was, Izuru was a LN protagonist before I began reading LNs, the Epilogue uses honourifics since Persona 4 Golden and Generations use them so well despite being in english. And don't get me started on Ryuuga just pulling drills out of his ass when the unit battle gets written. I've done so much mecha inspired shit and the only mecha series I watched from start to finish wasn't even a series, it was a movie, it was Promare.

-The OST for Ryuuga vs Gin on the Arcana arc was supposed to be ''Faith'' from Shield Hero. Remember when you hyped up Faith but got a Gridman opening? Fox sure does.

-Bench-kun is lethal.

-Leat fingies.

Also side I used the Round Up specials to make the volumes of the soundtrack, I'm obligated to do a final one for this final arc, which is sadly the biggest one of the series where almost every chapter had an OST of some kind. Obligatory Haruka Mirai is obligatory.
