At the end of the last school day of the first week of the school year starting on the year 2051, behind the main building of Heiwa Academy, a student in her first year of high school was pinned to the wall, surrounded by another three female students. She had brownish-red hair, with some strands falling over her right eye, dark blue eyes, a pair of wireless blue headphones around her neck, and despite the current situation, a nonechallant expression in her face. The lack of light in her eyes made her look like she was staring at nothing and ignoring her attackers. The other three were the generic gal type, so like it that nothing could distinguish one from the others.
"Hey, hey, are you done ignoring us? Come on now, that's so rude!" The apparent leader of the group laughed, before shoving her knee into the torso of the girl pinned against the wall, making her fall to her knees. "Not even that made you change that ugly shit you call a face? I'd ask to lick my shoes clean, but I don't need shit to touch them!" The girl laughed.
"This is just sad."
"The hell's that supposed to mean?!" The girl asked, looking back.
Walking up to the trio was the observer, a tall boy of their year with black hair that covered his entire left eye, dark eyes and a pair of wireless headphones around his neck, wearing his school jacket over a white turtle neck shirt.
"It's just another loser! This one looks so meek that he'd even let a girl hit him!" The girl laughed. "Let's test my genius theory! I'll smack that stupid hair bang off your stupid face!" She laughed evn louder, swinging her hand towards the boy's face, but was stopped by him grabbing her wirst.
"I was wrong. This is even sadder." The boy commanted, tightening the grip over the girl's wrist.
"W-what the-?! Let go, you perverted pig! I'll tell the whole school you-!"
"Tried to have my way you? Yeah, I read that light novel. No offense but I'd rather date a book nerd than your type. I did my duty as a citizen of Japan and subdued an aggressive person who could cause harm to others. I see nothing wrong with me stopping your slap. But I also hold little to no regard over your gender. Boy or girl, if you had actually landed your attack on me, I'd have fought back, and since it was my safety on the line, you wouldn't leave school grounds with all the bones in this hand intact. But I promised my doctor I would stop using violence, and I plan on keeping it like that. On the hand, allow me to show you this." The boy pulled the girl's hand until it touched the pocket on the left side of his chest, where he kept his phone with the camera sticking out. "I caught the entire scene on video and I can send it to the headmaster faster than you can stop me. I give it a week, maybe two, before you three are expelled. And of course, I can alter the footage to have it be my way and there'd be nothing you could about it. I already said I'd be fine with breaking your hand, so you don't have any excuses to actually think I wouldn't do it."
"W-what do you want then?! I barelly got into Heiwa, I can't be kicked out!"
"Forget this whole matter happened. And of course, when the student council election comes around, vote on the girl you attacked. Maybe that'll make her forget this ever happened." The boy said, releasing the girl's wrist and smiling.
"You... Go fuck yourself, loser! I have better things to do!" The girl exclaimed, running away with her friends.
"That was tiring. Are you okay?" The boy asked, looking down on the girl with the headphones.
"Why?" The girl asked, looking up at him with her lightless eyes. "I don't remember doing anything for you, Sawada Izuru-san."
"So you know me. Well I guess we are in the same class but not even I have bothered to learn the names of most people in our class. But that makes this easier. I didn't want to a classmate to get bullied this soon into the school year, specially someone who is working as hard as you are, Hanagata Aimi-san."
"Working hard? I'd hardly call it that."
"I have to disagree with that remark. Ever since the start of the school year, you've been at it, distribuiting your campaign's panflets with a monotunous face that leads everyone else away. I've seen you do it whenever we aren't in classes, even during lunchbreak. At one point my friend became concerned that you weren't eating for the sake of the elections. And despite being ignored by everyone around you, you never give up, even despite your opponent being Mitsuki-senpai, who's been the student council president on the previous year and treats everyone with a kind smile. You two are the polar opposites, you're defeat is as clear as day. But yet, you keep trying. That is more than enough to be called working hard, perhaps even working too hard. So that's why I want to help you. I'll make you the student council president in these elections. We may not be the most social people, but I'll make it happen one way or the other. I'm sure of it."
"If you're so sure about it, then why don't you run yourself, Sawada-san?"
"I'd expect you to ask that. I don't have any interest in being the president or the vice-president, those would bring too much attention towards me and I don't need any of that. I just want to secure a relevant place within the council, that of secretary."
"Then you could ask Mitsuki-senpai to give you the spot."
"I could but she probably has someone who worked with her during the previous year. It'd be hard to replace someone who you grew to trust during a year's worth of work with some random underclassmen you met on the first week of the new year. It'd be easier to get in with a new student council, and only you are competing against Mitsuki-senpai. With all of that being said, I'll repeat myself."

"I ask of you. Do you want to become the student council president?" Izuru asked, his hand extended at Aimi.
"...fine then. I'll accept having you by my side, Sawada Izuru-san." Aimi answered, grabbing his hand.
