Madis POV
I awoke the next afternoon to Dean suddenly turning the volume up on some punk ass radio station. I sprung straight up breathing heavily and climbed out of the car.
"Good morning princess." Dean welcomed and I death-glared him. He chuckled and said, "Come on Mads, we've got worked to do." He motioned to a cellar door under a power plant. Bunker sweet bunker. I thrust my bag over my shoulder and followed my brother inside.
I was greeted by the familiar balcony looking over the war room with the out-of-date computer and light up table of the world. I pounded down the stairs and through the library to my room, across the hall from Dean and two down from Sams.My room was similar to Deans, simple and plain except I had a few things. A large shelf stood to one side filled with everything I had ever collected or been given.
There were the red shoes from Dorothy along with the Tin-mans head, my first wood bullets I had carved, my dads army medals, and Sams photograph of dad and my step-mom.
I now set both of the claws on the top shelf, where I hoped I would forget about the. My bed was shoved to the side of the room, a black-light devils trap painted in the middle and ceiling of my room.
Books littered the ground, everything that I had ever hunted I had written down and made sure I read it over and over.Just a little insurance.
I unloaded my clothes, placing my boots at the end of my bed, and returned back to the library where Sam and Dean where already drinking a beer and had pulled out crates of files and books. I joined them, popping the top of a whiskey instead, and set in for a terrible night of research.
----------
"Damn it. There isn't anything!" Dean shouted slamming a book. I looked up to him over the empty bottle of beer. "Well what were you expecting? What are we even doing here? Like I said before, there's not anything on angel hybrids. There's never been one before." I reminded him closing my own book.
Sam continued to read and Dean and I both looked to him. I nodded over the the War room and Dean followed me. "Am I missing something? I was gone for months." I asked turning to Dean.
Dean sighed and crossed his arms. "It's nothing, we're just looking for a cure that's all. Trying to get you back Mads." I felt my chest squeeze and I answered, "I am back though."
Dean nodded and replied, "Yeah, yeah, of course but we're trying to get everything back to normal. you know get you back to normal." I took a step back and replied, "What the hell does that mean? you think I'm some kind of freak?"
"No. It's just-" Dean paused and looked at me. What the hell does he mean. "It's just since you became an angel, things are different. You've changed."
I scoffed and said, "Dean, I'm exactly the same as I was before. I'm still your sister."
"But your not, your an angel Mads. I'm trying to get back old Madison." He took a step forward and put his hand on my shoulder. I stepped backward at the same time avoiding his touch and he spoke again, "See that's what I'm talking about,You never did that. Never walked away."
"I'm friggin' walking away because you've gone insane. I didn't choose this, you think I wanted to be like this? Who the hell wants to be a friggin' angel for God's sake." I said raising my voice. "Dean, what happened to you?"
I noticed Sam turn around and I shook my head, walking backwards a few steps before turning around and stomping to my room. About an hour later I heard arguing in the kitchen and then Sam slowly krept into my dark room.
"Madi? You still awake?" His voice was kind and gentle and I rolled over on my side to look at him and whispered, "Yeah. What's up?"
"I just wanted to make sure you were okay. Dean he-" I interrupted- "Dean called me a freak, it was like he wasn't my brother anymore. Sammy, what happened while I was away?" Sam came and sat on the edge of my bed, I could barely make out his eyes, he looked tired, his hair unbrushed and ratted.
