Chapter 7

Sonic's words brought back a memory that scared me so much. I completely paralysed while the memory came.

In Shadow's memory:

"I'm scared professor...."

"You don't have to be scared Shadow...it's just a few tests on your blood..."

"No... I'm scared of the doctor... I don't know him..."

The professor Gerald petted my head, trying to comfort me. We arrived in front of a door. A doctor was waiting for us, a bright smile on his face.

"Good morning professor Gerald."

"Hello doctor Alejandro. Is everything ready for Shadow?"

"He just has to lay down and we can start!"

"Alright then! I'll be back later."

I waved my hand as a bye and I laid on the table, wanting the tests to be quickly finished.

He grabbed a syringe with a strange liquid inside it.and and planted on my belly.

"W-What is that...?"

"Shut up and let me do it!"

The sudden change of the tone of his voice surprised me. He injected the liquid. Seconds later, my blood started to boil.

When I looked at my belly, my veins were showing! They were all swollen!

"It burns!! Stop that!!"

I felt a slap. When I looked at him, he had an evil smirk.

He put others injections in my arms, legs and chest. My veins continued to boiled and swollen.

Suddenly they exploded through my flesh.

"What are you doing to me?!!"

He punched me right in the nose, breaking it.

The liquid continued to run through my veins and started to attack my flesh from the inside.

I looked around me, trying to see what he injected me.

I saw a bottle of acid.

I already saw a professor who had accidentally acid on his hand, he screams of pain were still in my head...

When he saw that I knew what it was, he started to punch me on the face.

"If you are telling this to anyone.... Trust me that you'll end up with the other failed experiences... Got it?!"

I nodded quickly and he stopped punching me.

He then grabbed another syringe with a different liquid and planted it in my belly once again.

The pain started to calm and soon stopped. My body was reforming from the acid and the punches.

When I was completely reformed, the professor Gerald came back. The doctor had his sweet bright smile again.

"Hello again you two!"

I got up and went to him and hugged his legs.

"Shadow? You're okay?"

"He's just a little scared of me. And that's normal, he never saw me."

"I see...What about the test?"

"Positif."

They continued to talk about the test and we get out.

"See Shadow, that test on the mercury wasn't that bad..."

"M-mercury....?!"

B-but it was acid! I saw it! It wasn't the same as mercury!

Hours later, when I looked at Maria's mirror, I saw scars. They were in the same place as the acid attacked my body.

End of Shadow's memory.

I was trying to calm Shadow, who was still in his catatonic state.

I tried everything but nothing worked...

I finally tried to kiss his cheek, which made him react. I continued to kiss him on the cheeks, temples, nose and forehead. That made him woke up and he fell in my arms, crying.

"Sshhhh.... Calm down Shadow...."

"He hurted me.... He hurted me so much...."

I took Shadow in my arms and I went to his room. I laid him down on his stomach and started to massage his shoulders.

"W-What are you doing....?"

"Massing you.... I thought that would help.... You want me to stop?"

"NO! N-no... It's okay...."

I continued to massage his shoulders and back while he was purring.

Who would one day think that the fastest thing alive would be massaging his rival, the ultimate lifeform?

Shadow had a cute little smile on his face and was blushing while he was sleeping under my touch.

I covered him, stayed next to him and fell asleep on the chair.

In the middle of the night:

Ring...

Ring...

Ring...

The sound of my communicator woke me up. I responded

"Yes?"

"Sonic we need to go. Now!"

"What? What do you mean?!"

"The Commander finds out about Shadow!"
