Bon looked at Rin as he warded away the Leaper with ease.
"You are an idiot!" Rin shouted, "You have a future, a dream, and a life don't throw it away! You want to defeat Satan, then we can do it together! But don't you dare for something stupid before it happens!"
"Why do you want to defeat Satan?" Bon asked, "You barely know anything about being an exorcist!"
"Can we just get out of the arena?" Rin asked, suddenly calmer, and seemingly saddened. He didn't wait for a response, and walked up the ladder. Bon felt as if he'd struck a nerve, and followed. He walked out of class that day, and ran up to Rin, who'd been upset all day..
"Hey," Bon sighed, "I'm sorry for saying you didn't know anything about exorcism. I can see I upset you, and I..."
Rin looked up, "I don't know much about exorcism to be honest, but you could say I have a..." Rin grimaced, "bad history with Satan."
Bon's eyes widened, understanding filled them, "Who did he possess?"
"My adoptive father." Rin said softly, "He possessed him after I got angry, and yelled at him. I didn't know until later that actually caused the possession." A tear slipped down his cheek, "Then, I came here. I learned that Yukio had been keeping the fact that he was an exorcist from me for a majority of our lives. He blamed - maybe still blames - me for Dad's death. In that classroom on the first day? He almost shot me. We're still working it out."
Bon looked at Rin, shocked into silence. Rin looked down, then Bon spoke, "Rin you idiot! Darn it! It's not your fault!" Rin's head shot up, surprised as Bon continued, "You didn't know, so how could it be?"
"But Yukio-" Rin was cut off by Yukio coming up from behind them.
"Was wrong." Yukio put a hand on Rin's shoulder, "Bon is right."
Rin looked down. Bon groaned, "You are not responsible you... you're a good guy, Rin! You are not a murderer! Especially to anyone you care about!"
