Chapter 4

Matapos ang very interesting moment I had with Sir Tristan in the elevator, the day was pretty chill. Apparently, I worried over nothing kasi lahat ng tao were very friendly and I don't think anyone found out what happened yesterday. Dee was actually super nice about it and she constantly asked me if I was doing okay while she introduced me to the people in the building.

Si Sir Tristan naman was in and out of meetings all day so we barely had time to talk, it's already 3pm pero hindi pa kami ulit nagkakausap, although he gives me a small smile kada dadaan siya sa harapan ko kapag lalabas siya ng opisina para sa mga meetings niya. Dee always followed him taking her laptop with her.

I'm currently sorting through the files Dee gave me and I'm reviewing his schedule which is kind of interesting because he travels so much. Ang dami niyang out of town and out of the country work which makes me think if I will ever need to travel with him. Malabo naman siguro, kasi assistant two lang ako, Dee is still his number one so malamang si Dee ang sasama.

Matapos kong ma-sort at ma-organize ang soft files ko sa laptop, makapag-archive at maglinis ng folders sa email – which is wala pa naman masyadong laman except files forwarded to me by Dee, I stood up and went to the file room at the left side ng ante room namin ni Dee para ma-check kung ano pang pwede kong linisin, baka makatulog ako sa pwesto ko kung mauupo lang ako doon.

I opened the lights and nalungkot ng kaunti kasi ang linis ng file room nila, the boxes had labels already and color coded pa. I sighed, sana ginulo muna ni Dee ito para may magawa naman ako.

I looked up the box titles and looked for something that needed fixing, I saw a box labeled Others and I smiled, "Jackpot!"

I brought it down and sat down on the ground, buti na lang naka-slacks ako today.

I took the top off and started sorting through the documents I made separate piles for them. When I was done I stood up to get folders and envelopes sa office namin and almost screamed when I opened the door, "Jusko po Lord!"

I had a hand on my heart trying to take calming breaths while Sir Tristan just looked like he was suppressing a laugh.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." He smiled.

I took a deep breath and looked up at him, "Sorry sir. I was just sorting documents in there."

He looked behind me and saw the mess on the floor, "Okay."

Napalingon ako sa mga documents sa sahig, "Sorry, I'm going to clean that up. Inayos ko lang po yung separation ng documents and I was just going to get envelopes..."

He put his hand up, "It's fine, thanks for tidying up. Although, I should warn you Dee really gets cranky if her files aren't in order."

I nod, "I noticed. Super organized niya, I just found one box she hasn't filed yet. Sinwerte lang ako, Sir."

He cocked an eyebrow and crossed his arms over his chest, "Sounds like someone's getting so bored she looked desperately for something to do."

I opened my mouth pero walang lumabas na sound.

I don't want to get Dee in trouble for not giving me anything to do. Shit. I don't want him to think na I'm being paid for not doing anything.

But he just laughs, "Just kidding. I'm sorry but this day has been so crazy that we didn't give you your tasks just yet. And you're fairly new so I don't want to bombard you with my requests."

I smile up at him, "I'm here to be bombarded, Sir. So, please bombard away."

He grins and bends down so his face is close to mine, "Be careful what you wish for."

Napaatras ako ng slight, he's very friendly, I don't know if he's normally like this or is this because best friend nya si Chuck.

I just smile, "Do you want some coffee?"

He straightens up, "God no. I think I have more coffee in my system than blood at this point."

He walks away and yells, "Take it easy today Andi, tomorrow we'll give you some real work."

I smile kahit na medyo kinakabahan.

I walk out of the lobby and Chuck is already there waiting for me, he opens the passenger window, "Hey Babe."

I smile at him, "Hello pogi."

He grins, "How was your day?"

I shrug habang sumasakay sa passenger side, "Wala pa akong masyadong trabaho kaya medyo na-bore ako kanina."

"Really? Well, you should have called me, we could have had lunch." He says habang nag-e-ease sya into traffic.

"Sir Tristan was in meetings all day, so halos wala akong ginawa. Sila lang ni Dee ang nagpupunta sa meetings so I was stuck in the office." I whine.

Natawa lang siya, "I wondered where you were, I was expecting to see you in the meeting kanina."

I look at him, "Nandoon ka?"

He looks at me then back at the road, "Oo, I was there before lunch."

Napasimangot ako, "Bakit 'di mo manlang ako sinabihan na pupunta ka today sa office?"

Kumunot ng kaunti ang noo niya, "I thought you wanted to separate your work life with your personal life? Me letting you know that I was there was me being your boyfriend in your workplace."

Bigla akong napaisip, oo nga naman pero hello? Hindi naman ako makikipagkita sa kanya e, I just wanted to know.

He shook his head, "Babe, you're confusing me. Did I do something wrong? Did I screw up again?"

It took a while to answer pero sabi ko lang, "No. I'm being silly. I just wanted to know na nandoon ka, I wasn't going to see you or anything."

Inilagay niya ang kamay niya sa hita ko, "Sorry. Next time I'll let you know if I will be there, okay?"

Nabubwisit akong kailangan niyang mag-sorry sa akin ngayon, wala naman siyang ginawang masama.

Tanga ka na naman, Olga. Nagiging si Olga ka na naman, kalimutan mo na yun, you're mature now and you're in a mature relationship.

I take his hand, "Sorry I'm being an idiot, this whole new office and our new situation is messing with my head."

He takes my hand and kisses the back of it, "We'll get a hang of it, okay?"

"Okay." I say.

"So, how's Tristan treating you?" He asks and I immediately thought of Sir Tristan's new haircut and scruff. I don't think yun ang klase ng update na gusto ni Chuck so I just say, "Things are fine. He's very nice naman."

He nods, "Buti naman. Mabait naman si Tristan, I've known him since we were kids."

I nod, not knowing how to react at this point. It feels weird.

I don't know why.
