"Morning sweetheart" a sinister voice whispered in my ear
I awoke with a jolt, to find my arms, wrists, and ankles tied to a chair in a dim, dirty looking shed. The two men were looking down at me with smug looks. I scowled back at them.
"I'm sure you're confused and have questions bla bla bla." Said the unknown man
I gave him a cold hard stare in response.
"No? Good. Because I don't care anyway. Let's get down to business."
"What business." I sneered. "I'm part of the biggest group in town. You won't get far with me before someone talks."
The creepy man approached me slowly. "Nobody will talk. Because nobody will know. Right?"
"About what..." my speech quivered, as the creepy man was now inches in front of me.
"About what you will do for us. Aren't you listening?"
I rolled my eyes. "No. Because I don't really care." I then realized that I had jut challenge two men, three times my size, who would have no problem getting rid of me. And covering it up. Whatever they drugged me with had made me incredibly defiant.
"This ones feisty." snickered the unknown man. "Perfect."
"You see, we have a plan. A plan to rid this town of what could possibly destroy it. We are regular workers, who know the secrets that are passed behind closed doors."
"Regular workers don't sneak up on people in gardens and kidnap girls in a dark alleys." I replied. "Who are you and what do you want!"
"Call me Simon and him Jones. Aliases. We want to train you. We may be more than workers, and you can be too."
Jones, the man from the garden, advanced to my chair. I tensed, expecting him to strike or drug me, but instead he untied my bonds.
"As a symbol of our trust. Now for why we want you." Continued Simon. "The people you call your friends are very picky of their recruits. We saw your recruitment as an opportunity. An opportunity to find the best quickly."
"The best...at what?" I asked, rubbing my wrists where the rope had dug in
"Getting people to like you. Accept you. You have already got the biggest gang and the mayor under your belt as people who trust you. And now we need you to kill them all."
I stepped back in shock. "I will never do that!"
"You will." Simon replied, smiling ominously. "Or we will kill you."
"We have really given you no choice Fedora. You will train every Sunday at midnight. No exceptions. If you don't come, we know where you live." Jones threatened.
I was trapped in my own life, with no means of escape.
