Another day, another lives to save. It's never easy to be in a battlefield everyday in your life. 12 or more hours in the hospital helping humanity.

My Five years in Korea has been a rollercoaster ride. At first, it was totally hard to adjust in a new environment. You need to be mentally, physically and emotionally ready to to adapt. But Korea is my dream place to be. I want to live here for the rest of my life, but i shouldn't left my mom alone in the Philippines. Nobody's gonna take care of her. I just want to experience Korea even in a few years that I'll be here.

"jan deula! (Xandra)"

My Co-nurse called me. Referring me to check on the wards because the doctor need the report. That's how they call me here. Might not the way it should be pronounced, but atleast it's the closest to my name.

"Ne! (Yes)" I replied.

I walk with Doctor Choi to the wards. Hodling my clipboard with all the patient's room number. There's another clipboard but it's in the edge of the hospital bed, wherein all the patient's report and conditions are there.

After Doctor Choi checks his patients, he told me the medications that the patient needs to intake and it's time to intake it.

My 16hrs of night shift has come to an end. I can see the sun slowly showing itself to the world.

Walking to my car, my phone vibrates. It's my brother.

"Hello?"

"Oh ano? When will you go back sa Pilipinas?"

*sigh* excited ata siya uuwi ako pero di naman siya uuwi ngayong taon. "Next month po. Ano ba? Di ka talaga uuwi ngayong taon?" I said as I hopped into the car and start the engine.

"Nope, Thesis days na namin ngayon eh! Last year na namin so tatapusin ko lang muna ito then uuwi na ako."

I put the call into loudspeaker because I'm gonna drive na. I'm super hungry and exhausted today. Mondays is a hell for me because I got 16hrs duty.

"Ano ba yan! Tuwing uwi ko, never kitang nakita in 3 years. Puro ka nalang sa screen at tawag."

"Oh c'mon baby sis. Uuwi na ako next year. Swerte mo meron kang matalino na kapatid, mabilis lang ang residency ko dito." Pa-halakhak niyang Sabi.

Alexander really is a genius in our family. Well, aside from me. Matalino talaga siya kung i-compare kami. He's a Dean's Lister back when we're in UST Med. Buti nga nasabay niya Ang pagiging genius and pag-jojowa niya.

They are 6 years na ng Girlfriend niya. Swerte ni Ate Girl matino Twin Brother ko. Ang hirap na humanap ng tino ngayon eh. Puro na undergrad, Bisyo and Alak ang iba. Kaaway lang talaga ni Ate Girl is yung time ni Xander tapos different time of place pa. Ma-effort lang din si Kuya kasi kahit busy siya nag u-update naman kung anong ginagawa niya.

"Ewan ko sayo. Wala akong masabe talaga. Kamusta naman kayo ni Quisha?"

He went silent and made a deep sigh. "We're good. We just had a little argument over a petty thing."

Well, as far as I know mag pro-propose si Xander kay Quisha pag balik niya; which is sabi nga niya next year. Nakapag-paalam nga siya sa parents ni Quisha when he went back to Philippines last time. Agree naman ang parents niya, who wouldn't? Alexander Lee? A Cum Laude in Nursing. Dean's Lister and soon to be Doctor? Super ideal guy to marry na sis. Why reject pa, diba?
