'All I have to do is to kill them, then after that... I can free these kids from here...'

Amidst the grim atmosphere of her surroundings, Ninelie found herself wrestling with a daunting decision. She knew that her only chance at saving the kids imprisoned in this wretched place was to eliminate the ones responsible for their suffering.

'I wish I had someone I could trust, even if it's just one person.'  As she fought to stabilize her trembling breath, Ninelie delicately wiped away the traces of blood staining her lips. The room had just been cleaned by two individuals clad in protective suits, obscuring their identities and intentions.

Her gaze lingered on the departing figures of the personnel, their eyes briefly meeting hers before they exited the room. She was left alone, the lingering scent of blood a haunting reminder of the horrors that had transpired.

"Splendid!" Ninelie's heart leaped as the voice of Marcellus, the deranged doctor, resonated from beyond the door. Her muscles tensed, and she remained seated on the floor, her mind racing.

The door slid open with a faint beep, admitting Marcellus into the room. His manic cheerfulness sent a shiver down her spine, confirming her suspicions of his psychopathic nature.

"Well done, 41176. " he sang, waving a medium-sized clipboard adorned with papers containing information about different children. Ninelie's eyes narrowed as she glimpsed photographs attached to the documents, fearing for the safety of her fellow captives.

"As promised, it is time I'd end the game," said Marcellus.

"...What?" She muttered, loud enough for him to hear and smile.

"Hm?" Marcellus crouched down in front of her, his demeanor shifting.

Ninelie shook her head, "No, it's just..."

He tilted his head with his smile fading away, "It's just?"

"Are you really going to end the game?" she asked him and he nodded right away.

Marcellus nodded, his expression somber.

"Then, what about the others?" Ninelie's concern couldn't be contained any longer. She released her tightly held questions. "If the game ends like this, will you experiment on the other children again?"

"Hm, let's see..." Marcellus rose to his feet and reached into his pocket, producing a small remote control. He moved over to the light switch and turned off the lights in the room. "Maybe... I will?"
