Chapter 7-An Optimistic Pessimist, Or Vice Versa?

You looked behind you, swinging your (h/l) hair behind you at a quick velocity.

The window was open and the person standing behind you was none other than Kakashi. You smiled. 

What the hell? How did he know I was here? And, why was he here in the first place? 

"Hi, sorry. Did I scare you..?" He questioned. Hah, like HE would scare ME. Anyways, I wasn't scared. I was just cautious, like anyone in their right mind would be, in the situation at hand.

"No. I'm fine. Why are you here..?" You looked him up and down. 

"Well, first of all, I'd like to think of you as an acquaintance, and, as you know, word spreads pretty fast around here," he chuckled, "So I came to visit. The main reason was that the Third Hokage asked me to give you this."

He held out a letter. 

"I didn't read it, just in case you were wondering." He said, handing it to you.

You grabbed it, placed it on your table. 

"I barely know anything about you..." You whispered hoarsely.

He shrugged, "And like that it could stay. I'll see you around."

He pushed his hands against the railing, and just like that, disappeared before your own eyes.

'And like that it could stay.' What did he mean? It was true, all you knew about him was that he was a Jonin, but other than that...nothing. His name.

You pushed your headphones into your eyes and switched on the music. Your fingers slid opened the letter carefully. You flattened it out. It was short. Starting from the top...
