"Good morning, Naruto. Ready?" You smiled, standing over Naruto, who, in response, pulled a blanket over his head. "Just a little more...Dattebayo..." He grumbled.
"No, Naruto, today is the day we do the survival test, remember? This decides whether you become a Genin or not. Do y'wanna go back to the academy?" You frowned, pulling the sheets down and ruffling his blonde hair. He hoped up at your statement, broadened his chest, and cried out, "Of course! I'll be Hokage someday! Beeeelieve it!"
You smiled at his little outburst and nodded to the kitchen, where you laid out his clothes and supplies. Sometimes you acted like his best friend, or his mom, or his worst enemy. But today, you needed to act like his teammate.
You slipped on your sandals, gloves, and changed into your usual outfit. Fixing your hair into your favorite style, you headed out the door.
"Okay, Naruto, look, I put in some extra supplies you don't normally use. See, there's a paper bomb, smoke bombs, and some extra shuriken."
"Well, why would we need this?" He said with a puzzled expression on his face.
"I have an idea of what the survival test will be about..." You said, placing a hand on your chin. You weren't totally sure, but you had been a Genin before and had heard some things about a bell test. It did seem unfair, but, with the help of all your teammates, you could easily complete this. He clearly underestimated all of you.
Naruto just shrugged obliviously and closed the pouch, put his hands behind his head, and walked along.
You rolled your eyes. He really didn't care about much: being a ninja, and ramen. And you...well, partially. You passed by Rock Lee and his sensei, Gai, on the way to the area where you would meet. Rock Lee was one of your friends, though you didn't know him that much. You admired how much determination he had. He trained more than any person you knew. Dasha decided that she would make Rock Lee show his full potential throughout this story, unlike Kishimoto who decided to make him irrelevant.
You arrived at the area of the meeting, a bridge on top of a river. Sasuke and Sakura were already there. Sakura looked like she was trying to start a conversation with Sasuke, who ignored her and had his eyes closed. Typical.
"Where's our sensei?" Naruto asked. Sakura shrugged. "Late again, probably." You sighed. He really was testing your patience, wasn't he?
A few hours later, he arrived. Sakura and Naruto started yelling at him. You placed your hand over their mouths and gave both of them a pointed look. There was no point in yelling. He said something along the lines of, "Sorry I'm late, I got lost on the path of life."
The four of us glared at him. Oh really? Don't be late?
Sorry for the crappy and short chapter. No motivation to write today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll write part 2.
