Also i promise i wont put such useless thought chapters so often. just i need to watch the episode of naruto when its an arc to actually write abt it. and i cant watch rn, so sorry!^^
Tazuna was an idiot. A moron, annoying, simply dumb. Every disgusting word possible. Even when he wasn't a lazy drunk too. You tried to avoid him the whole walk to the boat, and the boat ride. But that was truly, truly unsuccessful.
"Come on, pretty lady," Tazuna motioned to you, to "come closer". You narrowed your eyes. A pedo, too? What was this...You rolled your eyes and shook your head. "No, sir. I cover the back." Almost immediately after, when he started walking over to you, you added: "You stay in the middle, where you can be protected from all sides." Yeah, right. Keep polite at all times. You smiled grimly, hoping he would believe it. He just frowned, huffed, and turned away with a sour look on his face. You pinched the area above your nose.
"She's popular with the boys, huh?" You heard Tazuna mention to Kakashi in the front. Kakashi glanced at him. You really wanted to know his response. His eyes closed, but it wasn't a real smile, you could tell. "Yes, she is." He responded quickly and turned away. For some reason, you felt your face grow warm and a bubbly, joyous feeling emerging within. You pushed it all down. That was stupid. You had loved Sasuke since the beginning of time. And Kakashi was your sensei, for Pete's sake (who tf is Pete), not to mention much older than you. Though you hadn't really learned his age. But Kakashi was a man of many mysteries. It was hard to tell what he was really thinking. Just like his appearance, he covered up all but one part, which would alter quite often. Sometimes it was carefree and reassuring, a nice message or an 'eye smile'. Sometimes it would be cold and dark, showing hesitation and concentration. He wasn't shallow. Far from it. Maybe...something more like...hard to reach. Maybe he was one to push others away. To keep them far apart in order to maintain peace. You had tried that technique earlier on, but it just made you more depressed and miserable. Whoever could do that, well, the edgy kids, in reality, like Sasuke, and, now Kakashi, had some strength. But you had broken Sasuke's shell. Could you do the same with Kakashi? The words rang in your head.
You didn't even realize you were staring. Tazuna's words jumbled around you. He was talkative, like Naruto. One thing they had in common. Well, two. They liked to accuse people. Sure, okay, you were friends with a lot of boys. But that's cause they were actually REAL people, not plastic fangirls, like most of the girls in the village. The only ones you could really accept were Tenten and Hinata. Other than that, the long-haired Sasuke dreamers had nothing else to them. It's like Sasuke was a religion and all those girls gave up everything else about them in order to be a follower. It's clear that Sasuke had shown no particular interest in females, not those at least. You liked Sasuke, of course. But you hid it perfectly. Nobody could tell. Not nosy Naruto, paranoid Sakura, nor all-knowing Sasuke. Maybe you were better at hiding things than you thought.
Naruto was the most extroverted person you had known. Did he even think? It's like...he didn't, everything he thought would just spill out of his mouth. Well, not always. You could confine in Naruto, which sounded super controversial to what you had just stated. Sure, he was loud and didn't know how to hold his tongue. But if something was super important to you, he would keep it under a lock and key behind his tongue. That's what made him a good ninja. He had everything a ninja needed...except the quiet part. I mean, all those American movies portrayed ninja as quiet and secretive, wearing all black. Naruto stuck out like a sore thumb. His outfit, his personality. Oh, and he also needed to think more. About his actions. Of course, nobody is perfect. You're no Mary Sue.
Your anxiety. And stress. And intermittent depression. It was always there. You had to admit. It had become so much better ever since you had healed and had received the job. It's like...the clouds cleared and showed a rainbow. But there will always still be clouds. Just like everything in life. It was interesting sometimes to compare the world to a solar system. The Sun...you. Oh, yes, so humble, but true. You had gathered up so many people and brought enemies together and tightened bonds. And everybody circled around you. Sasuke...earth. Honest, full of life but polluted. Sakura...the moon. Earth's moon in particular. Along with all the other fangirls. Okay, that was a joke...but in reality...besides her crush for Sasuke, she would be Mars or something. Or like a bright star. She had a lot of potentials but blended in easily. As for Naruto, he would be the brightest star. The shiniest.
You watched as the boats came to the dock. "Those are the ones we are boarding." There were a few, all pretty small. Maybe 2 max on each one. "Okay, how are we going to do this?" Sakura asked. You nodded. Kakashi placed a thumb onto his chin. "Okay, Sasuke with Tazuna." Sakura simply nodded, feeling a little bit sad. "Naruto with Sasuke," both of them glowered, "And that leaves me with Eri." For some reason, you felt that was intentional. He could have been with Tazuna. After all, he was the best out of all of you. Maybe you too...but he had saved you from that creep. Regardless, you did feel some happiness. That same feeling.
You climbed onto the boat and grabbed a paddle. "Actually, its been a while since I've been on a boat," you remarked. "Has it, now?" Kakashi questioned, "It's not surprising. After all, we only have a few lakes, but they are rarely higher than your knees. Besides, we can use our chakra to walk on water, after all." "Yeah. Hey, wouldn't it be cool if we could practice our Chakra control here? I mean, we could learn how to walk on water, and our trees, and y'know, all of the stuff that we need to push chakra to one side instead of the other."
Kakashi nodded his head, "Hey, thanks. That's a really good idea." Now you started to feel like an assistant, not a student. You smiled.
