Steve's pov

"Hey Kara? Are you busy at the moment?" I asked through the other line.

"Nope not that much why?" She answered, she sounded like she's chewing something. Typical Kara.

I let out a sigh and frowned. "I really need to talk to you about something. Can I come over?"

Kara seemed to picked up on what's happening, "I'll just meet you outside, I need to pick some things for her anyways."

"Alright see you in thirty, Thanks Kara bye."

"See ya."

I entered my car and started driving, I remember that I haven't seen her for a while so I decided to stop at the mall and picked up some gifts I know she'd like.

I went inside the shop where I supposed to meet Kara. I wandered my eyes across the room and there I spotted the blonde girl who's wearing a glasses.

I walked towards the table where she is currently in, "Hey Kara."

She turned around and greeted me with a hug. "Hey Grant, take a seat." She offered.

I took a seat and rest my face in my palms, "How is she? I haven't visited her for a while now." I asked with a lace of guilt in my voice.

"She's okay, doing great actually. She kept on asking when will you going to visit her again. Why didn't you visit her anyways?" She asked curiously.

"I've been very busy these last few weeks, here" I paused and handed her the bags with teddy bears and other stuffs inside of it, "Can you give that to her? Say that I'm sorry for not being able to see her?"

"Sure I'll give this to her later but seriously Grant, You should spend some time with her, these things won't make up the time you've already lost." She suggested in a serious tone.

"I know I know." I conceded in defeat.

"Anyways why are we here again?"

"What should I do Kara? I wanted to tell Natasha the truth that all of us have been keeping from her, but... I know that somehow it'll mess her up..." I explained with sadness in my voice.

Kara gave me a sympathetic look and faint smile, "I know that it is not my business Grant but you know what you should do. Yes, telling her would cause a serious consequences but don't you want to make everything's right? The more you guys keep this a secret the more time passes, we can't bring back time Grant. She has the right to know."

"But---" Before I can even say what I wanted to say, Kara snapped already.

"But what? You're scared? Come on Grant! You're not the only one who's suffering in here! Her daughter is suffering this the most! Your daughter is growing up already. Do you really want to keep her in a shadow? Do you want your daughter to grow up without a mother? You don't have any idea how much hard it is when she asks where her mother is Grant! You don't have any idea." She furiously said.

What Kara said gave me more pain. She's right, my daughter doesn't deserve to be hidden from her mother. But how will I tell her that her mother doesn't have any idea about her existence? How will I tell Natasha about her?

"The best gift you can give your daughter in seven months is her mother Grant. Make Amethyst feel complete. Decide." She advised.

I took a deep breathe, "Give me five months Kara. Just five months and if nothing happens? I'll tell her about Amethyst, just like you I cared about my daughter's happiness too."

She gave me a confused look, "I-i don't get it? Why do you need that amount of time?"

"It's time to fulfill my promise, it's time to make a move again."
