Steve's pov

What was that all about? Natasha and I are about to kiss... I wonder what would've happened if Kara didn't call? Well I don't wanna imagine things that are impossible and besides why am I thinking about that? My daughter needs me at the moment.

I pulled my car over and get all the things I bought for Amethyst before going out. I slowly walked and knocked at the door, it's pretty late now, is my baby girl still awake? One way to find out.

I knocked on the door lightly and to my surprise a raven girl opened the door, "Uh how may I help you?" The green eyed, raven girl asked.

Did I got the wrong house? I mean I'm pretty sure that this is the house I bought.

I was about to answer when I heard Kara's voice, "Lena, love? Who's in there?" Lena? Love? Wait are they... A thing?

I cleared my throat and speak, "Uh it's me Kara."

Kara rushed in the door with a blushing face, "Who is he babe?" The girl called Lena asked.

"Oh uhm, Grant this is Lena my girlfriend and Lena this is Grant, Amethyst's father."

"Oooh, nice to meet you." Lena greeted with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too Lena! Is Amethyst still awake?"

"I just checked on her a while ago, she's asleep in her room. Go in there, she's been asking for you." Kara sternly said. I nod and made my way to my daughter's room.

I peaked in at her door and went inside, moving so slowly and quiet so she won't be awake just in case she's asleep.

"Aunt Kara? Aunt Lena?" She groggily called, rubbing her eyes.

"It's me baby girl."

"Papa?" She asked unsure. I opened her lampshades and sat in her bed.

"Yes Thay, it's me Papa." I smiled at her, Amethyst immediately cling on me, hugging me tightly.

"You're finally here papa! I missed you!" She cried. I rubbed her back and caressed her blonde hair.

Amethyst really missed me, I should've visit her, She's growing up so fast and I'm missing it.

"Don't cry Thay." I whispered and lay her back down on the bed wiping some of her tears away.

"Why aren't you visiting me anymore Papa? Are you mad at me?" She sniffed. That's when I noticed how pale she looks.

"No, of course not baby girl, Why would Papa be mad at you? I just got so busy at work." I explained and kissed her forehead, "Auntie Kara told me you kept on spitting your medicines, you know that you won't get better if you don't swallow it right?"

"I don't like its taste Papa, I don't want them in my mouth." She declares and cross her arm. So stubborn, just like her mother!

I sighed softly and soothe her furrowed eye brows with my thumbs, "But baby you need to, Papa will stay here and I want you to be a good girl and swallow it this time okay?"

"I don't want to, They're bitter. Taste like vegetables." She maintained, making a gagging face.

"Please you need to baby girl okay? Papa will be the one to take care of you."

"Really?"

"Yes, really. Now I'll just go for a while and get your medicines from your aunties okay?"

Amethyst smiles, "Can you please call auntie Kieran?" She requested. Kieran? Who's Kieran?

"Sure but who's Kieran Thay?" I implored confused.

"Auntie Lena's middle name is Kieran papa." I just nod my head and left the room not forgetting to pressed a kiss on her forehead.

I told Lena that Amethyst wants her attention. Okay so it's just me and Kara, I can tell that there's something she wanna tell.

"Your daughter found a comfort in Lena if you're wondering why she asks for her. I want you to know that your daughter has been looking at Natasha's pictures Grant. She runs off the street while it's raining saying that she wants her mother, Thankfully Lena came and tamed her."

So that's why she's sick... What am I suppose to do? Show Amethyst to Natasha just like that? I mean Natasha and I are just rebuilding our relationship...

"I understand Kara, thank you for taking care of her."

She looks at with sympathy in her eyes, "You can do it Grant, You'll get through this." She comforted, tapping my arms lightly and left me alone.

I took a deep sharp breathe and made my way back in Amethyst's room, before I entered I heard my daughter and Lena talking.

"I want my hair to be like yours Auntie Kieran."

Lena chuckles and caresses Amethyst's hair, "Your hair is much beautiful than mine little one, oh and also please swallow your medicines so that when you're finally well, We can finally go to your favorite park and eat ice creams okay?" I saw how Amethyst's eyes gleamed in excitement. She pulled Lena in a hug and kisses Lena's cheek.

That could be her and Natasha.

"I love you auntie Kieran!" Amethyst exclaimed and giggles.
