Tears flowed freely "Dad, what are we going to do?" I sobbed hard. Bryan came closer looking confused and rubbing my shoulder to stop me from crying.
"Sweetie, don't cry please, you know you make me cry when you do, she will be fine, she has to go in for some surgery they assured she will be a bit better after it , the issue is the funds, I'm still running around for it but don't worry it would be fine I have a job now" he said and I sobbed harder, I wish I could help, I need to work to get money to help. I wiped my tears with the napkin Bryan handed me. "I have to go now sweetie, your mum just woke up , keep the phone with you please am going to call you back again later, promise me you would tell me everything that happened and exactly how it happened and why you aren't home yet"
"I will dad, I promise"
"I love you sweetie"
"I love you too dad" he hang up and the tears started again.
"Anne why are you crying , is something wrong?"
"My mum, my mum had an heart attack and her health is getting worst"
He stared at me looking worried
"He said she would go in for surgery" I continued "I don't know if she would ever get better Bryan"
"She will be fine, just stop crying okay, when Damien gets back we will ask him about it so we can know how to make her better"
I nodded , I felt better with that and I smiled "thank you" then my face lighten up "I want to call Stella!!"
His brows came together "who is Stella and why does it make you so excited?"
"She's my best friend"
"Oh I didn't know you had a best friend"
I dialed Stella number but she didn't pick. I called again and she picked on the fourth ring,
"Stella?"
"Anne? Anne is that you?!"
"Yes, I ..."
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!!!" She screamed angrily almost blocking my ears, I had to move the phone a bit farther and Bryan laughed silently , I knew he heard that part.
"Keep it down Stella will you? Umm something happened, but I'm fine now"
"What happened, are you okay , just tell me where you are , are you at home? Am coming over now" I could here the sound of a microwave beeping and I knew she was home.
"No, no am not at home, umm I can't come home for the main time"
"There's something you are not telling me Anne, are you in some sort of trouble?"
"Something like that, I can't give you the whole details now.."
"Tell me where you are, I want to see you"
I looked at Bryan , he wasn't hearing the conversation so he just glared at me
"Okay Stella I will let you know later, I promise."
"Are you sure? Let me know today" she paused for a minute "I have missed you girl"
"I missed you too Stella"
"Bitch! How could you just disappear, do you know how many times I have gone to look for you!"
"I laughed. I know you would"
"Ben wants to speak with you, he is here"
"Ben?" I impulsively glanced at Bryan And he raised a brow in question
"Hey Anne, how are you?" Ben said softly
"Ben hello, am good, how are you?"
"Fine, we have just been worried about you, if you are in some kind of trouble you tell us so we can help"
