Chapter 7

Nic opened his eyes he was laying in a field. He had no idea where he was and how long he had been out. He looked over as a strange creature ran out of the bush line, and started to approach Nic.

It didn't look like anything Nic had ever seen before. It had small antlers that where shaped like lighting bolts. It had a tail a long bushy tail. The creature was pure black and had red eyes.

"Ignore the attakes, they look scary but their harmless." A voice sounded behind Nic. He jumped and turned around.

The girl was beautiful, she looked about the same age as Nic but it was hard to tell. That was because her skin was the most beautiful shade of purple. She had what almost looked like tattoos all over her body but they where more like decorations to make her look more beautiful. Her hair was as black as night and he eyes where lime green.

"You okay big guy you look a little dazed." She snickered. "My name's Athena."

"Athena, like the Greek goddess?" Nic asked.

"Um, who" Athena mumbled, looking really confused. "Ahh you must be human i see now. It was hard to tell you look like... Never mind"

"Those markings on you what are they." Nic ask curiously.

Athena looked at her arms like she had never noticed them before. The swirled markings where a darker color purple than her skin. Nic was wondering who she really was but decided not to ask.

"So where am I and do you know a guy named Jake" Nic asked Athena.

"Your on the planet Ontareon, my home planet. And Jake, yes I have heard about him he's a terrorist" Athena acted like she had a one on one fight with Jake and lost.

"He's killed thousands" she continued "He has been abducting humans and trying to make them into his own personal war weapons. Injecting them with some kind of mutagen that changes.. there.. DNA."

Athena looked at Nic like he just killed a box of kittens. He new she wanted to ask him about how he knew Jake but she decided not to.

"He destroyed most of the people here and I am going to make him pay for it. Your lucky I ran into you not one of his men" She added her voice filled with anger.

"Come you look hungry I'll take you to my sister Reyna."

They walked in silence the way there along the way Athena showed off her skills with a bow and arrow. She had shot a attake between the eyes, that was about a half a football field away.
When Nic and Athena arrived at a small wooden cabin that blended into the area.

"We had to make it unnoticeable from the air. I didn't feel like getting blown up." Athena stated with and smirk.

"My names Nic by the way." Nic smiled.

At least she has a since of humor. Nic thought. She looks like a person that would take everything seriously.

Nic stopped suddenly, he could faintly hear something running through the woods. Out raced a group of lizard looking men holding alien guns pointed straight at Nic.

"Jake wants you dead human! And we are here to do what our master wishes." One of the lizard men hissed.
