Phone ringing...
"Are you coming tonight?"
"Yeah I guess, I'm coming late."
"Again? Why you're always late whenever we need to attend party huh?" I heard Kyler growled.
"Yeah, I know it's just that traffic sucks" I lied.
"You fool. Be here asap. Dont blame me not reminding you."
"Yeah yeah Im almost here. Talk to you later. Bye." I hang up.

I let out a sigh. It's been ages since I last saw her. I hurriedly looked for a spot to park, but unfornately the remaining space is far. I guess I need to love parties to find a good parking spot. Then shoot, I parked my car, took a deep breath then hopped out.
I walked through the hotel, I guess everyone is already enjoying the party. I looked in every corner for her. I walked and walked through the crowd then, I frozed...

She's wearing a blue starry night gown, the gown resembles her a lot, conservative and classy. Her goddess like face, her auburn long hair that style with curls, her perfect body and long legs, the pearl white skin, her smile that makes everyone like her. Her beauty never fades but grows more and more breath taking. I felt the same feeling when I first saw her, my heart beats fast, my world stop spinning and the time pause. Again I felt like Im in a hole that falls deeper and deeper.

"Enjoying the view?" he chuckled.
I came back to my senses. I turned and saw the man who taught me so many things in life, the man whom I adore, my father's bestfriend.
"Mr... Chambers." I stuttered feeling ashame. But I still managed to extend my hand to him then he shook it.
He chuckled again. "Remember her 7th birthday?" His tone is calm but with authority.
"Yes sir, I won't forget that day."
"Now, do you understand what I mean?" He asked in gentle tone.
Looking back the day when I first saw her.
After boarding we hurriedly went straight to the party. The flight is quite delay that caused us running late, better that we all dress. I used to hate parties it's my first time coming with my parents, they insist because they said its important so I was forced. In the yard where the party is held, all I know is its a birthday party with few guest. I quickly looked for soda to ease my thirst. I grab one then drink, when I turned right I saw the birthday girl. She looked like a princess, she's dancing with her father. I felt my heart is beating fast that I hold out of breath. I dont know what Im feeling at that time. I want to dance her too. Then the music stopped, and she sat on the princess like chair on the corner with her mother.
Then her father is heading to meet us, my parents approach him with hugs then introduced me and then they exhanged talks.
I approached the man then "Sir are you her last dance? Why are you her last dance? I want to dance her too."
He chuckled then hold me in shoulder. "Handsome you know being the last dance is very important especially to a princess like her."
I'm puzzled. "But why sir? How can I be her last dance?" I asked.
He smiled. "Son, Im her last dance because I gave her unconditional love. Aside from her brother Im the only one who is capable enough for that. You may not understand me now, but when the time is right I know you should."
Yes I dont understand what he said but I said determined, "I want to be her last dance sir, I want to be like you."
From that I made a promise to myself, I will work hard for her. He smile then nod, my parents laughed listening to us.

"Yes sir I understand. And I want you to know that nothings changed, I meant what I said before. And I will continue to work hard to deserve her."
He smiled then pat me on shoulder.
"Caleb, you are like a son to me. I saw grow up, I know you are a good man and how you worked hard. But you know she is a lady with dreams. And what we want is her happiness, we will support her no matter what. And besides she keeps on saying that she doesn't met her soulmate, yet. That she dont want to rush things about love. Which is no problem with me because it ease my worries."
"Yes sir I'm aware of that, it's just that I want to have your permission."
He smiled saying, "You know you always have my back son, but it still my princess decision."
"Yes sir, I will try my best."
"Okay, okay just remember she does'nt like men who's tailing her." He chuckled.
"Dont worry sir, I won't scare her away."
Then we both laugh.

"And you're already here and you don't even bothered to look for me." Kyler said while joining us.
"My apologies dude, I know your busy with ladies that's why I didn't bothered you." I teased.
"Jeez! Dad what did this punk desire?"
"Young man, we're just catching up, and I know you already aware of it." Mr. Chambers said.
"Persistent huh?" He turned to me.
"You know me better dude."
"Okay good luck." He challenged.
I smirked. Then Mr. Chambers phone rang. I guess its about time to went home. I dont mind if I dont have a chance to talk to her, Im happy with just seeing her, like I always do, watching her from afar and patiently waiting.
I guess I will be having a sweetdreams tonight.
