Chance

Saturday...
Just the usual, I woke up and do my routine.
I took shower then dressed into a pair of jeans and long cosh blouse pair in my stiletto. Im heading downstairs and saw my parents eating breakfast. I join them, after eating I bid them goodbye. I have some errands for today.
I rode my car then head to the publishing company for our months collection, they used to publish article about the brand.

I went straight to the lobby.
"Goodmorning Ms. Chambers, its nice to see you again, you look lovelier." the manager said.
"Thank you Mrs. Smith, you look good too."
She smiled then we headed straight to the dressing room. I changed into a business attire I brought, then put minimal make up.
In the photo shoot area, I handed them a few photos of my designs to be be added on the article. And we started exchanging thoughts about the designs. They wrote down every single detail about the collections. After giving highlights, they took few photos of me and we all set.
"Thank you Ms. Chambers, we'll inform you for the release of the magazine."
"My pleasure Ms. Smith." I said giving her goodbye kiss on cheek.
It's late afternoon when I left the place, I changed into my casual attire. I have some free time so I decided to roam around the city. I ate on my favorite restau, I also went shopping. Its been long since I last shopped stuff. I remember my old days, me and Abby used to go shopping all day.

It's almost sunset when I decided to went home. Upon entering I went straight to the kitchen and saw mom and Aunt Martha makes dinner.
"Hmm smells delicious mom, where's dad?" I said hugging mom and she kiss me on cheek.
"In the study room." Mom said.
"Okay. Aunt are you going to join us for dinner?" I turned to ask aunt.
"My apologies young lady, my husband and the kids is waiting for me at home." She said.
"Oh. I think you should get going." I suggest.
"Yes young lady, we're almost done."
"Okay have a safe trip." I said hugging her.
"Sweetie dinners almost ready, go and get changed." Mom said.
"Okay mom, bye aunt." I said heading to my room. I changed into a comfy dress, I also remove my make up.

Everyone's waiting at the dining. Jace is already here with his bestfriend slash business partner. I sat next to mom, facing Jace bestfriend. I saw Jace smirking at me. That punk. I just rolled my eyes to him.
While eating, dad ask me, "Princess how's work?"
"Great dad, we're done with our month collections." I answered smiling.
"I taught you also run a flower shop." Dad teased.
"Oh are you checking on me dad?" I said playfully.
He chuckled. "No young lady, its just that my secretary went to your boutique to accompany her wife. He assume that you're also planning to have a flower shop."
"That ridiculous dad. You know where those flower came from." I pouted.
"Oh you want me put flower banned signage in your place?" Jace teased.
"Back off Jace. It's not funny." He laughed.
"I pity those man who spend money for flowers and lunch but having no chance to have a closer look at you." Dad laughed.
"I dont know what's wrong with them. Is it really hard to understand the word NO? I am running out of alibi." I said pouting.
Jace and Dad both laugh.
"Maybe because they never saw you dating, that's why they're persistent." Dad said.
"Is that so dad? I know what they want. And I will never be one of their flings."
"Someone's digging." Jace teased more.
"I have no choice, they're really get into my nerves." I retorted.
"Sweetie I guess you should go dating. Atleast try." Mom said comforting me.
I took a deep breath. "Think about it mom."
"You want me introduced some gentleman to you?" Jace said smirking.
"I dont trust your word Big Brother. You know I want someone like Dad, not like you." I said teasing him. He smirked at me saying. "Well young lady I'm a God's Gift to Woman, I can't waste this opportunity." He said in his most confident manner.
Dad and Mom just laugh.

The rest of the meal is peaceful. Sometimes I dont like dinner because they always end up teasing me. But in the other hand, Im grateful because my family is really a happy one. Jace and I always teasing each other but we never had a fight. He used to protect me always, yeah he's being so over protective. He used to scare away boys who want to approach me,he keep on saying that he never trust anyone when it comes to me. Also I adore my Mom and Dad, I never saw them fight, not even once, I never heard them raise their voice. That's why I have no idea on the other face of love, I used to grow with unconditional love from my family. Maybe its a thing to discover, soon...
