One step closer

Weekdays...
Again a whole tough week is ahead of us. After settle some errands in the boutique, I went overseas to meet some potential business partner. I agree to meet with them for future expansion of the company.

"Congratulations Mam, you made it." Dylan said.
"No Dy, we made it. Credits is to the whole team who work hard for this. I am grateful that I have everyone of you beside me."
"We're also grateful that you're our boss." He said sincerely.
"Silly, I guess we need to celebrate. Right?"
"They will like the idea too." He said.

We are heading downstairs to meet the team. Its almost lunch time but they all look busy.
"Everyone been busy, huh?" I said catching their attention.
"Hi Mam, are you going to eat lunch with us?"
"Yes, and lunch is on me." I said cheerfully.
"Woaahh." They said in chorus.

Then the food arrived. I ordered different NY dishes from a famous restau, its only a small thanksgiving to the whole team.
Then we ate together happily. The rest of the afternoon is quite relaxing.

Before dismissing the team. I gathered them to have drink.
"Everyone thank you very much for your hardwork." I said sincerely.
"No worries mam, you can always count on us."
"Sorry if I don't treat you in a fancy restau but instead just celebrating here in the office. My apologies." I said sadly.
"It's okay mam, atleast you're with us."
"Ayyy Thankyou for the understanding."
And we drink until late at night. Everyone headed home. Men volunteer not to drink much for the ladies.
"Mam let me drive you home." Dylan offered.
"No Im okay, I can drive." But Im feeling bit dizzy.
"No Madam, I insist. Besides my house is on the same way so I can dropped you off."
"Okay." That's all I can say I feel sleepy.
Dylan guide me to hopped in the car. After ensuring Im good he hurriedly went to the driver seat. Then I felt my eyes heavy...

I heard Kyler's phone ringing. It must be important so I answered it.
"Hello, Mr. Chamber."
"Hello who is this?"
"I'm Dylan, Ms. Zoe PA. I'm outside she's drank and sleeping."
"What? Okay I'm coming". I said I have no choice, Kyler is drank and already sleeping. I need to ensure that the jerk will not lay a hand on her. I hurriedly went downstair.

Then I saw the car parked outside. Lucky he called Kyler instead. I walk fast to the car, he's already waiting outside.
"Where's Mr. Chambers?" He asked.
"He's drank and sleeping. I can take her in."
"But..." I can feel he hesitated.
"Im Kyler's bestfriend, so you don't have to worry. I'm no harm especially to her." I said smirking. I hate the fact that he didnt trust me. I didn't wait for his response. I unbuckled her seatbelt and carry her outside the car. Heading inside he open the gate wide, so he's caring for her huh. I didn't bothered no more.

I went straight to her room, I carefully lay her in the bed, removing her shoes then put her on the duvet. I remove strands of hair that covers her face and put it beside her ear. She look so peaceful while sleeping, it's my first time being so close to her. I felt my heart beats fast, like it always do whenever I saw her. I hold her hand for a second, I can't help staring at her. I don't want to leave her but I know she will be confuse if she saw me. So I decided to leave after ensuring that she's comfortable. I went to Kyler's room, the jerk is still sleeping, we'll tonight is a lucky one moment for me...
