Throughout the remainder of the week, Umeji and Y/N stuck side by side due to the newly found threat of somebody watching her. The H/C-haired girl had explained her entire encounter with the so-called 'info-chan' and Umeji agreed that whoever it was didn't have good intentions. The blonde delinquent took to keeping an eye out seriously and became particularly protective even over the smallest of things.

Although Y/N hated to admit it, she rather liked his somewhat possessivness over her. But at other times, she had to avert his attention to save his skin. That afternoon, the pastels (whom they despised) accidentally knocked into Y/C, causing the girl's books to go flying. She was about to respond angrily when suddenly-

"Hey! Who the hell do you bitches think you are!?" yelled Umeji, grasping his bat from inside it's case. The group's eyes visibly widened and the leader began stumbling over her words at the sight of a bat.

"O-Oh, she just walked into us" Musume pointed out, indicating to Y/N who was positively fuming in the corner. This seemed to set Umeji off even more as he took threatening strides towards the phone addict.

"Listen here blondie, I don't give a shit what you think but you are NOT going to barge into her without apologising."

"B-But-" Musume's words were drowned out as Umeji growled threatingly and grasped his bat with both hands. Musume gulped and turned frantically to start speaking.

"I-I'm sorry L/N-sama, it won't happen again" she squeaked before running off, with her friends trailing behind like lost puppies. Y/N turned to Umeji with a flabbergasted expression.

"Did you just make queen bee apologise to me?" she asked incredulously as Umeji smirked proudly.

"Yup" he replied, beginning to place his bat back in its case. However, he failed to notice the student council member that was walking down the hallway at that time.

"Hey you! Why do you have a weapon out? I hope you're not planning to injure anybody" spoke the student with a frown on her face. Umeji gave her a blank look and was about to retaliate when suddenly, Y/N grabbed his arm to drag him away from the scene.

"Nothing going on here Ryogoku-sama, just taking a walk" Y/N yelled over her shoulder much to Umeji's dismay.

"Aw come on... we could have fought her..." he whined as he was being dragged by the H/C-haired female. Y/N merely scoffed.

"Do you seriously want to get detention that badly?" she asked sceptically, causing Umeji to sigh briefly.

"No, I suppose not... But even if I do get it, I don't have to show up, right?" he said, earning a chuckle from Y/N.

"Whatever you say Umeji... whatever you say."

Y/N ruffled his hair while he wasn't looking and Umeji chuckled as he playfully tried to get away.

"Ah, no! My weakness!" he yelled, bringing attention to himself. Y/N merely laughed at the boy before taking his hand in hers and walking outside. As his large hand held her smaller one tightly, a warm sense of security rose within her chest, eliciting a small smile from the girl.

They got to the incinerator and were surprised when they didn't see any of the other delinquents around. They glanced at each other and merely shrugged as they took a seat on the soft green grass. Y/N lent her head on Umeji's shoulder as he wrapped a muscular arm around her frame. The H/C-haired girl placed her legs over his and held onto him as she slowly closed her eyes, enjoying the calm outdoor surroundings. She felt Umeji lean his head atop of hers and Y/N's heart fluttered when he placed a small kiss on her forehead. However, their small moment was ruined by an unexpected wail. A familiar orange-haired girl appeared from behind the corner, clutching her head and tears streaming down her face freely. Y/N instantly stood up and rushed to stop her.

"Osana-chan! Wait!" Y/N called, as she ran to catch up with her. She grasped the sobbing girl by her shoulders and quickly turned her around to see what was wrong. Umeji came up behind them to see what the commotion was about and he stared curiously at Osana.

"Who's she?" he asked Y/N with a confused frown. The H/C-haired girl turned to him and contemplated her answer for a moment before replying.

"A friend" she spoke, nodding her head to indicate that this person was okay. Umeji visibly relaxed as his entire demeanor changed from aggressive to naturally calm. Y/N turned back to Osana and gently pried her hands from her face.

"Osana, what happened?"

This statement seemed to set her off, as even more tears began streaming down her face.

"I-I... h-he rejected me!" she exclaimed sobbing, "my childhood friend who I had a crush on for years just made me look a complete idiot! I regret everything!" she yelled. Y/N and Umeji exchanged a glance before nodding and beckoning for Osana to come with them. The delinquents led her to where they were previously seated by the incinerator and told her to sit down with them. Osana looked around surreally, almost as though she couldn't believe she was sitting there.

"I know that was probably tough to go through," commented Y/N, "but at least now you know the truth and can move on to someone who actually cares."

Osana stared at the H/C-haired girl for a long time as though she was trying to comprehend what was being said to her, but then a small whimper left her mouth as she buried her face in her hands.

"B-But nobody likes me! I'm so cold and mean to almost everyone that... that I don't even have any proper friends! Not to mention someone liking me!" she exclaimed frantically, seeming to panic. Y/N sighed, but surprisingly it was Umeji who spoke up.

"Listen Osana, you aren't the only one who felt like that, all of us delinquents are practically the same" he explained, causing Osana to stop sobbing momentarily, "we all have a violent, rough exterior and many are afraid to approach us, but deep down, I'd say we shuffer from the same fear as you do."

"The fear of no one likening you?" she asked wide-eyed, "I thought that you guys couldn't care less."

Umeji and Y/N shared a glance before chuckling. "Sure seems like that doesn't it? Wait 'till you see these guys giving each other piggybacks and arguing over pokemon cards" Y/N laughed, causing Umeji to become flustered.

"That was one time! I told you not to bring that up!" He yelled, his face turning a scarlet red.

Osana watched the exchange with amusement as a sudden feeling of deja vu hit her in the heart. These people... they acted so much like her.

Osana let loose a small chuckle, causing the delinquent pair to glance at her with raised eyebrows, however, the orange-haired girl merely smiled as she spoke in a hesitant voice.

"Do you... do you think I could join you guys?"
