It wasn't long before the police arrived at the scene and the emotionless girl (who Y/N found out was named Ayano Aishi) was apprehended. The H/C-haired girl watched as she was handcuffed and stuffed into the back of the cruiser. Most of the police officers left with her, but some remained behind.
"Excuse me," one of them spoke, "can I please speak to L/N Y/N. She's the girl that alerted us of this."
Everyone in the vicinity went quiet as they stared at the 'notorious bully' in a mixture of shock and awe. Was she seriously the one who caught Akademi High's murderer? Y/N stepped forward slightly and waited for the police officers to come to her, but when they did, they asked something unexpected.
"Miss L/N, do you believe that the crimes in this school were committed by the same person alone?" he asked, taking out a notebook and pen from his back pocket. Y/N thought about it for a second, but then nodded her head.
"Yes, I think the girl that was apprehended previously was falsely accused."
A round of gasps sounded near her and students instantly began to gossip about the newly revealed news. Did this mean that Kizana was innocent all along? And nobody believed her? How horrible!
The police officer nodded in thanks before tearing his eyes away from his notes and paying more attention to who was standing before him. He took in the H/L H/C hair and the bright E/C eyes and instantly recognised her as the same girl who's father was arrested only a few weeks ago. The officer smiled kindly before taking off his badge and handing it to her. Y/N's eyes were wide as the officer lifted her hand and placed the golden crest there. It was glowing magnificently under the light of the afternoon sun and Y/N couldn't help but stare at it in awe. The officer wrapped her fingers over it and gently patted her hand.
"I believe you could make a fine officer one day Miss L/N. You are a brave young woman. Never forget that that."
Y/N stared in shock at the grown man, before a bright smile made it's way onto her face. The officer gave her a heartwarming smile, only to readjust his hat and leave with the rest of the officers.
Many students stared at the girl with a newfound respect and after the police left, some even moved to congratulate her. Despite Y/N's fearsome aura, they could now see that she wasn't just a monster that bullied everyone in her path. This girl just saved Akademi High, and no previously established reputation could change that fact.
"Miss L/N, may I have a word?" spoke the firm voice of the guidance counselor behind her. Y/N turned around apprehensively and nodded meekly before beginning to walk after the strict woman. Once they made it to the office, she indicated for Y/N to sit down facing her.
"Miss L/N..." she began, "I think it is about time that I inform you of the plans regarding your social group."
"You mean the delinquents?" Y/N spoke with a raised eyebrow, "Why, what plans did you have?"
The counsellor sighed before pinching the bridge of her nose and furrowing her brows. It was obvious that whatever occupied her mind at the moment, was troubling her and Y/N couldn't help but become curious.
"A few weeks ago, before the situation with you father came to light, the faculty members and I had a discussion regarding your fate here at Akademi High. Many people, and even the student council members, voted for you to be expelled if you were caught misbehaving dramatically. However, I stood up for you and decided to give you a second chance."
Y/N's eyes widdened with pure shock. She... she was going to be expelled? But before her mind could wander too much, the counsellor continued with her explanation.
"Later on the delinquent group was formed and the same question came up as before. I once again argued to keep you in school, saying that 'they were better off in education than on the streets causing havoc'. Of course by then your story was already heard of, and my plea became more believable.
However, there was one condition to my plan. I was given ten weeks to dismantle your group if I wanted to keep you attending Akademi High. But now, that you've proven yourself in the eyes of the police, I believe that might have to change."
Y/N had long given up on trying to keep a mask of indifference and was currently sitting with her mouth hanging wide open. She certainly had no idea that the faculty members were planning something like this. However, her eyes lit up with hope when the counsellor spoke of things changing for the better. Perhaps if they diled it down a bit with their 'defying authority' schemes, they would be allowed to stay?
The counsellor smiled slightly at Y/N before standing up from her seat and beckoning for the girl to follow.
"Come along Miss L/N. We have things to discuss with the faculty."
