Y/N's POV:

back round: you moved from Hoenn to Alola, you already have a HOENN starter (HO/S) and are soon to pick your alolan starter, but first your mum wants you to have a walk around the area and you do so... until ;))))

it was the day after i moved into the Alola region. I awoke to my alarm clock ringing deafeningly on the bedside table next to me.

-morning...already?- i slowly opened my eyes and began rubbing them

i sat up on my bed, groaning and mashed the button angrily on my eevee alarm clock. i grumbled curse words to myself before flopping like a magikarp out of bed and getting changed into my F/C matching set of a tank top and shorts (suitable for the weather) and slipping on my sleek, black trainers. i didn't normally wear shorts or a tank top, but Alola was me at to be HOT!

"Y/N~!" i heard my mum singing from down the stairs meanwhile i was tying my newly brushed H/C hair into a neat ponytail, topped off with a F/C scrunchie i brought with me, my signature scrunchie!

i looked in the mirror one last time before grabbing my pokeball from my vanity and rushing out of my room.

as i rushed down the creaky wooden stairs in my house, the sweet scent of fluffy pancakes made me swoon for a moment before i had to catch my balance.

"Y/N!" my mum screeched as she watched the whole scene

"IM GOOD!" i hopped down the last step

my mum sighed. "just be more careful!... i served breakfast!" she folded her arms

"i can smell it!" i gave my mum an appreciative smile before sitting down at the dinner table, while clipping the poke-ball to my wait band

"right!" my mum announced as i dug into a pancake. "remember... what are you gonna to today?" she ordered while pointing a ladle at me

i rolled my eyes. "i know... get to know the area!" i mimicked her demanding tone

"right." she then frowned. "remember this is a new region, VERY different from hoenn." she emphasised

"i know!" i sighed, sipping some orange juice. "i can figure it out myself!"

"great!" my mum smiled. "have you decided on which starter you're gonna pick tomorrow?" she tilted her head

i shook my head, swallowing some orange juice. "i don't know... i haven't seen the starters yet, i only know the types!"

my mum leaned on the kitchen counter. "well... in Hoenn you chose HO/S, it was a (type) type. you gonna go for something different?"

i shrugged. "i dunno..." i then looked out of the kitchen window. "look mum, i think i'm gonna go, i'm really eager to see what's out there!"

my mum frowned slightly at my plate as i stood up out of my chair "Y/N? you hardly ate anything!" she scolded

"then stop serving me so much!" i said while twisting the front doorknob. "it'll save you time and ingredients!" i snickered

"guess so!" my mum pursed her lips. "bye, honey..."

"bye!" i said before slamming the door

the town of Alola was beautiful. there were dozens of markets, stalls and shops. people flooded the area buying, talking, eating, doing loads! best of all, lots of pokemon flooded the area, some i knew... others i didn't. the atmosphere and vibe of the town was amazing and i felt relaxed

"ugh, i cant believe i left my pokédex back at home!" i whispered to myself, groaning slightly, i could've recorded all the new pokemon i've seen!
