Kiawe's hands were now shielding my vision as we approached the opening of the cave
"Kiawe!" i giggled, stumbling for a moment as i wasn't able to adapt swiftly to losing my vision.
i felt a strong arm wrap around my waist and catch me, i then felt it pull me in closer to Kiawe's body as i caught my balance again.
"hey! i already said, it's a surprise..." his voice echoed in the cave, "...did you already forget what i said? ten carat hill isn't all what you think." he explained in a matter-of-fact tone
i puffed my cheeks out, "fine then. cut to the chase!"
i heard a feint laugh next to me, "come on then..."
we slowly climbed up what i presumed a small slope of the cave, revealing a big beam of light between Kiawe's fingertips
"Kiawe, what-"
"shhh... close your eyes!" he cut me off, sounding very excited
i followed his commands, darkness taking over.
as we walked further i could sense we were outside, as the alolan sun hit me harshly as did the calming breeze, but i could also hear the distant sound of... water?
"okay... open up!" his hand slowly slid off my face and i kept my eyes closed for a moment. when i opened them, they widened immediately.
was i in a movie? it definitely felt like it because below me was the most stunning sight my eyes had ever laid upon. a mesmerising field coated with all sorts of flowers which had already bloomed due to it being summer, it was complemented with a huge running waterfall which glistened in the sun. hundreds of different pokemon strolled around this field, harmoniously
Kiawe sighed, "well?... i didn't want to tell you where we were going because i know you can be funny with heights sometimes but-"
"wow..." i said in awe, the stars in my eyes fixed on the sight in front of me, i, in fact hadn't even realised Kiawe had taken me to a cliff. "...it's wonderful..." i turned to kiawe, my mouth gaping open. all Kiawe could do was fold his arms over his bare chest and smile in confirmation
"i told you..." he snickered, then came in closer, "that's not all, Y/N!" he jingled slyly
he really did surprise me. i was not expecting this at all, who knew Kiawe could discover some place like this.
Kiawe walked past me with a huge grin on his face. he then turned around, "may i?" his arm extended out towards me. his dark eyes were fixed onto mine, searching them.
i finally looked down one more time, which suddenly made me realise how elevated we were. i gulped in and turned to him again, "p-please..." i squeaked and grazed his hand. he smiled to himself and reassuringly intertwined his warm muscular hand into mine.
i stared at both our hands, my face flaming up and i immediately glanced down at the ground, feeling his eyes examine me.
he guided me across the cliff, i progressively got closer and closer to him as my fear built up. he didn't seem to care or judge, that's why i've always admired Kiawe. he's the complete opposite of his image.
"it's not much, but..." he led me up another slope and stopped infront of a small grassy patch with a thick oak tree. our hands still grasping onto eachother
