The next couple of days were filled with intense training with both Seokjin and Jimin. I would train with both of them for hours at a time until I could barely carry myself to bed.

I was making great progress in target practice and Jin decided to upgrade me to an actual gun. I wasn't afraid of guns anymore, I finally accepted the fact that I would be around armed men for a long time and that I would have to use one sooner or later.

I also made a lot of progress with Jimin's training, even though I hadn't regularly worked out before, I didn't have a hard time following Jimin's instructions anymore. He showed me multiple new self-defense tactics and taught me a few offense moves that would definitely be useful in the near future.

However, today wasn't going to be like the past couple of days, it was Namjoon's birthday and we wanted to do something to cheer him up and celebrate him turning 26 years old.

I still had to train in the morning, but we shortened our training in order to have enough time to prepare a surprise party for Namjoon. He and Hoseok had gone out to buy a few supplies we needed for our plan that was going to take place in a few days so that gave us the perfect opportunity to finish what we needed to do.

Seokjin was, of course, preparing a birthday feast for us, while Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook went out to buy a lot of drinks, snacks, and decorations.

Yoongi and I decided to bake him a cake. I never knew that he was a good cook, and he loved baking cakes. Once we were done baking and the cake had enough time to cool down, we began frosting and decorating it. Yoongi thought it was a good idea to write "Congrats, you're old" in the frosting instead of the usual 'Happy birthday'. I thought it was funny but I told him not to do it, but since he was in charge of the task so he did it anyway.

Luckily, we were able to decorate and put everything in place before Hoseok and Namjoon returned. Jungkook was on look-out duty and once he saw them park the car, he signaled for us to hide behind the couches in the living room. As soon as they entered, we all shot up yelling: "Surprise!"

Namjoon got so startled that he tripped and fell, but we sang him happy birthday anyway. We lit the few candles we placed on his cake and he blew them out after making a wish, then we enjoyed the feast Jin had prepared for us in Namjoon's honor.

Once we were done, it was time for the real fun to begin. Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook had bought more booze than we needed, but none of us complained. Jungkook being a DJ couldn't have a party without proper music so he took care of that as we sat in the living room.

"Alright ladies and gents", Jungkook said in a TV host tone. "I'm your humble host for tonight, the handsome Jeon Jungkook! Welcome to Kim Namjoon's twenty-sixth birthday party! Let me hear you make some noise!"

We all cheered and laughed at how silly he was being while Jimin was handing all of us glasses of champagne.

"What a great crowd", Jungkook teased. "To begin the night, I would like to hear a speech from the birthday boy, please cheer him on!"

We turned to Namjoon, who was blushing and denying Jungkook's request, but we started chanting 'speech!' until he gave in.

"Thank you guys", Namjoon began, his face still red from blushing. "Thank you for this nice surprise, for dinner and the cake. I honestly forgot it was my birthday with all that's been going on. Let's have fun tonight!"

He raised his glass and we all did the same and cheered to a fun night.

"That was lovely!", Jungkook exclaimed. I wondered when he was going to drop the TV host act he had going on, he was even using his champagne glass as a microphone. "I have prepared a few drinking games for tonight, my lovely guests. We will start with a 'Would You Rather' game where we ask our dearest birthday boy a question but if he doesn't want to answer it, he takes a shot!"
