'Ddaeng'
"That's such a silly word", I told Yoongi. "How can anyone take us seriously when 'ddaeng' is our code word?"
"It's a simple word" Yoongi answered. "It's not obvious like 'Jericho' or something, no one would suspect it's a code word. They would think that you don't like swearing and said ddaeng instead of damn"
I snorted. "Just imagine me going against Seong saying 'oh, ddaeng'."
"Let's hope we don't get caught in that situation", he smiled.
How could one word cause so much damage?
As soon as I said it, I fired my gun. I knew my aim was almost perfect thanks to the intense training I received from Jin. My feet were stable, my arms did not shake. One shot straight to the head and Seong fell backward.
Just as Yoongi had promised, no one suspected that it was a code word. He immediately took his shot just as everyone on our team did. I didn't stay to watch what happened next as I ran towards my mom, dragging her away from the shooting and hiding us both behind the bar.
She was sobbing, her whole body trembling and the sound of gunshots wouldn't stop. I hastily took off her blindfold and untied her hands, hugging her tightly once I was done.
I tried to calm her down but I couldn't make any progress. A few moments later, the shooting had stopped and the club was once again silent. I stood up from behind the bar and quickly did a headcount.
By some miracle, all of Seong's men were on the ground motionless, and everyone on our team seemed fine. I saw Yoongi and Jimin make their way toward us and I crouched back down to help my mom.
"Mom, it's okay now", I tried telling her. "It's all over."
"H-hyun-Jae? Are you hurt?" she stuttered after a while of deep breaths.
"I'm fine mom, it's all over now", I couldn't stop myself from crying, but I tried to sound brave for her sake. Jimin came with a blanket in his hand and wrapped it around my mom's shoulders and whispered comforting sentences that helped calm her down a little, and Yoongi crouched next to me, making sure I wasn't hurt. I examined him as well, and thankfully he was scratch-less.
"Let's take her upstairs and calm her down", Yoongi whispered to me. "We'll take care of everything else."
"Is anyone hurt?" I asked.
"Mark got grazed by a bullet and Taehyung is in shock, but everyone else is fine. Come on, let's go."
"I just need to check something first, you go ahead."
Yoongi and Jimin helped my mom to her feet and started walking her to the elevator, making sure to distract her from the dead bodies that were scattered around the floor.
I made my way to where Seong's body was and examined him. I noticed his chest was slowly but surely rising and falling. He was still breathing.
"I have to admit", I said, not sure if he could hear me or comprehend my speech. "I kind of wish one of your men survived to tell the people that work for you how big boss Seong was shot and killed by a tiny girl. What a sad excuse of a man."
I took my gun out of my back pocket and aimed it again at his head and shot the final blow.
I ran to the elevator to meet with my mom and took her, with the help of Yoongi and Jimin, upstairs to the living room. We sat her down and tried to calm her down.
A few moments later, Jin, Taehyung, and Jungkook came out of the elevator, a blanket was also wrapped around Taehyung's shoulders who was shaking badly. Jungkook sat him down on the couch next to us and Jimin went to calm him down as well.
