Time seemed to fly by so quickly as my days were filled with activities. I would spend most days between physical therapy for my thigh which had gotten tremendously better to the point I'd only remember about my wound when I see it, and physical training with Jimin, which had changed objectives from 'exclusively self-defense' to 'straight-up hand-to-hand combat'.
Seokjin, who had heard from Hoseok about my epic failure in the shoot-off I had with Yoongi at the amusement park a month ago, had insisted on taking me -multiple times- to a nearby shooting range and made sure I practiced my aim for hours at a time until I hit the bull's eye eight times in a row.
Every once in awhile Jungkook would remind us of 'moving target' training and would insist on it being held at his favorite paintball arena. The three of us would go accompanied by either Namjoon or Hoseok and play against 15-year-olds, which isn't fair to them since our team consists of highly trained former assassins turned to god-knows-what, and me who isn't nearly as bad as I used to be.
We went to the paintball arena the first time to celebrate Jimin's birthday. All of us were present, even Taehyung, who was persuaded by some miracle to play with us even though he cannot stand being near any type of weapons even if they shot out paintballs. I later was informed that Taehyung didn't only play with us, he had rented the whole place for the occasion and had brought many drinks and excessive amounts of food, as well as a cake that looked too beautiful we almost felt bad about eating it. Almost.
We played four against four, my team consisted of myself along with the birthday boy, Taehyung and Yoongi, with Hoseok, Seokjin, Namjoon, and Jungkook on the opposing team. At first, I was nervous to play against Seokjin, my own instructor, but it turned out that our team was a good match to theirs. Taehyung was a natural at it, thanks to all the games he'd spent hours upon hours playing.
Our team ended up winning and I suspected it was to please the birthday boy as well as to go easy on Taehyung, in an attempt to encourage him to play such games with us more.
Since Taehyung had so generously rented the place out for the whole night, we did not hesitate to drink till we dropped, and since the DJ blood runs though Jungkook's veins quite aggressively, he had connected his phone to the biggest speakers in the place and played songs that were fitting for a fun party.
If it wasn't for Namjoon being so responsible, we wouldn't have had a way to make it back home. He'd arranged for a couple of drivers to pick us up at an unholy hour of the night and drive us safely.
Yoongi and I didn't go to sleep right away, we had unknowingly started a new drunken night tradition that we needed to complete that night. That tradition had first taken place after another birthday party, which seemed to happen eons ago. That tradition was so sweet, yet filled with greed. So gentle, yet so rough.
We seemed to have many drunken nights after that day, and our tradition made me a little slower at training the next day with Jimin, but his smirks told me he understood why and he wouldn't yell at me for being a tad bit clumsy, after all I would have had a good workout the previous night.
Weeks had passed since Jimin's birthday party, but every time I would visit the paintball arena with Jin, Jungkook, and whoever decided to join us that day I would have a difficult time trying to erase the smile off my face.
Training with Jimin would take place in a huge gym at the basement level of our building and I honestly didn't know the building had a basement level, but I still spent most of the past month in it, training hard and watching Yoongi and Jungkook out the corner of my eyes doing some kind of boxing training.
I loved the new training techniques that Jimin had been teaching me. After the unfortunate incident that happened almost two months ago, he was more than focused on strengthening my defense tactics as well as teaching me helpful offense tactics. After I started training in straight-up combat, Hoseok would join my training to make sure I was strong and smart enough to take anyone down. It was kind of a promise he made a while back that he intended to keep.
