It seemed like ages had passed since I had last been in the room I woke up in. I was laying in bed with a pair of arms wrapped around me from behind. I could clearly see the piano keyboards that I had began to love sitting on the elongated desk in front of me. I could see a few paintings hanging on the wall that I hadn't noticed the last time I had been here.
The warm feeling inside me made me almost forget what was going to happen today. I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and checked the date, September 15th.
I cursed, dreading the day before it had begun.
We came back home last night, the past few days at the farmhouse had been hectic and my training had intensified, but the nights were what I looked forward to the most. Yoongi and I had gotten a lot closer to each other after Namjoon's birthday party, and I couldn't fall asleep anymore if I wasn't in his arms.
"Mornin'", Yoongi said as he tightened his embrace around me. His voice was still raspy.
"Mornin'", I smiled even though he couldn't see me. I was trying so hard to not think about today, I was really nervous about it and I didn't want to start whimpering now.
"Today's the big day, huh?", he seemed to dread it as much as I did.
"Yeah", I took his hand into mine and stroked it with my thumb. "I'm a little nervous"
"It'll be okay", he hugged me even tighter.
We got up a few moments later and I went to my own room, leaving him to freshen up as I did the same.
It was already 12 pm by the time I was done so when I went to grab something to eat, I was alone in the kitchen. I saw the rest of the boys walking around moving equipment here and there.
I expected my body to be shaking with fear but luckily, that wasn't the case, I was just slower at everything, even breathing. My mind had gone blank.
I didn't notice when Yoongi and Hoseok walked in the kitchen and sat on the seats opposite mine until Hoseok spoke.
"You okay?" he couldn't hide his concern. I simply nodded to him and smiled.
"It's going to be alright", he reassured me. "I got all our equipment ready, there isn't anything to worry about, okay?"
"You'll be okay", Yoongi said, taking my hand. "You trained hard for this, right?"
"I'm not worried about that", I sighed. "I'm worried about you guys. I can't help but feel like all of this is my fault"
"It isn't!" he protested, squeezing my hand.
"He's right", Jimin said as he took a seat next to me. Again, I didn't notice him, or the rest of the boys walk in.
Jin and Namjoon placed two boxes on the table before taking their seats around the kitchen table, and Hoseok got up to open them.
"These are the earpieces I got us", he said as he held an ear-bud looking device up for us to see. "They're connected wirelessly to each other and have an impressive long-distance range, so we'll be connected no matter how far we go."
He handed us each an earbud before taking out another tiny device from the next box.
"And these are the tracking devices I got, you can simply stick them on you, so stick them somewhere they won't fall off easily, maybe on your chests or something. They are connected to Taehyung's computer, he will be keeping track of us at all times, so try not to lose them"
I was thankful that they would go through such measures to keep everyone safe, however, my legs wouldn't stop shaking. I was getting more nervous by the minute.
