Chapter 18

EPOV

Listening to Bella make a joke about shooting some fucker in the dome I couldn't help but laugh, but I was watching her closely, I knew she wasn't OK, and to be honest I didn't blame her either, as I said I remember what it was like to take my first life, I was prepared for it, it's apart of the job, but I had nightmare's for weeks which I kept to myself, I think my pop's knew but he let me deal with it in my own way, that was more to make me stronger he couldn't tell me it was all going to be OK cos he would have been full of shit, you just have to deal with it, but to be a regular person and do it off the bat she's got fucking balls, And I loved that about her, though I could clearly see she was putting on a show for everyone, I could see it in her eyes.

I pulled her onto my lap and held her close as I whispered "You OK?" in her ear.

"I'm fine" She said, I pulled my head out her hair and really took a good look into her eyes since she cracked me one in the jaw and saw the light that was there earlier wasn't there anymore, exactly like I thought, she's putting on a show for everyone else.

"No, you're not, but we'll talk about it later" I said, I was being serious, and she could tell as her eyes filled with tears, she was like me, she didn't wanna be seen a weak and quickly blinked them back, that's fine we'd deal with later on our own, I knew I would be there for her, I wouldn't let her do this on her own, after all if it hadn't been for her I'd be a dead man now, I owed her my life.

"Dimples" My pop's chuckled to himself, I could tell the new nick name was gonna stick "You and Jasper bring Danny and Alberto in" I wanted another go at them fucker's, It was enough to think about what my girl was gonna go through over the next few days to wanna get up and go for round two, useless pieces of shit.

I watched with a glare as my boys brought them in and threw them on my floor by our feet, I saw Bella pull her legs up faster than I thought she could move and glare at the men on the floor and snap "Don't get blood on my shoes" She looked like a kitten with her claws out, I was trying to hold in my laughter but I couldn't hold the shakes coming from my body, and for my effort I got the next glare from her. "You like your boots angel?" I asked her with and let the smirk cross my lips.

"Yeah, I still ain't saying thank you" she snarled back at me with a smirk and patted harder than she should have where she hit me, of course she knew what she was doing, I hissed at her and grabbed her and with a glare. She only smiled and gave me a quick peck on the lips. This woman is gonna be the death of me.

"OK you two, settle down, and tell me what the fuck happened" My pop's demanded.

"Well, I went to pick her, I got there 5 minutes early I might add, so she couldn't fucking moan about me being late...get this, SHE turned up 15 minutes late, NOT me HER" I said nodding my head and looking at my pop's while Jasper and Dimples laughed. I could see the twinkle in his eye although he ain't said it, he liked her I could tell, saving my life went in her favour.

I then went on to explain, about walking around the market and not noticing anything out the ordinary, I got to the bit with the waitress, I was already laughing trying to get out a complete sentence without cracking up, my boys were trying not to laugh although they didn't know what I was about to say.

"So the waitress comes back with our food right?, slams Bella's on the table the gives me mine, the she put her hand on my arm, I swear to Christ I thought I was about to puke her perfume nearly made me heave, then she goes to whisper something in my ear" I was laughing again already, "What did ya say to her Bella?" I as trying to remember, she wasn't playing ball she just huffed at me.

"I know, I know" I shouted with a cheesy grin and looked at her "Bitch if you don't put your eyes back in your head and take your hand off my man, I'll pull out your extensions and shove your pen in your tit to see if it pop's" I was laughing so hard Bella nearly toppled off my lap, I had to hold her tight, I looked over at my pop's to see him doing the same, he caught my eyes as he wiped his on and gave me a wink, that's all the approval I need.
