The night that we chose could not have been worse to meet up. It was darker than normal, and it was also raining. I was at a location that we both knew all too well. It was the old place of the last leader of the group. I had then felt the presence of truest evil approaching me from... above?
Just then I saw who I knew. He looked different. I mean, he always looked like the front of a teenage angst boy band, but I saw he had Black angel wings.
"Hello there Rook" said that voice. My blood boiled at the sight. but I kept my temperance.
"Lucifer" I said. "What was it you wanted to talk about? I take it this is not some kind of social call"
"Rook, you have always been so blunt, always to the point. Why don't we try for pleasantries for once" He did not look hostile, but I could feel a most powerful unholy energy radiate from him.
"If you know me, I am not one for pleasantries to people whom I don't particularly like in all honesty"
"Ouch, that stung" he looked like this was a friendly banter match, "Oh, I heard through the grapevine that our solitary Rook has finally gotten himself hitched. Raymond, I suppose Congratulations are in order."
"I told you to NEVER call me by that name, and leave my fiance out of this" My voice was dripping with venom.
"Relax Rook," he said as he was walking back and forth. "I give you my word that I will not harm her, or you other friends and family."
"And what of your gang?"
"I will attempt to keep them in check. You have my word"
"You always were a man of your word, however, you were also very literal. I want a guarantee that no harm will befall my family, my fiance, and my friends."
"I can promise that I will tell them to not engage, what they do, however is up to them" He is right. He never was one to control his own lackeys.
I sighed. "What did you want from me Lucifer"
He smiled at that. "I would like to invite you to join back into the gang you helped make, I offer a second in command position, and I promise you, nothing will happen"
"If I refuse," I said.
"Well, then I cannot guarantee that you will be safe, as we are now a fully fledged gang. As such, many of your former comrades have been taking in too much sin. I thought I told you to come alone!" he then took an attack stance, as he summoned a mace, which shone with the brilliance of the daytime,
"I DID"
I then saw a cloaked figure hop out of where the shadows, "Cheerio chap, That explains little for me, but that does mean that I can do something here" It was Toby, what a fool.
"Toby get out of there, he will kill you"
Toby looked at me, as Lucifer just swatted him aside, and knocked him into the wall, rendering the transformation inactive, and himself unconscious.
"I take it, that this breaks down negotiations?" His voice was so snide.
"No it doesn't. What the fuck do you think?" I had sarcasm in my voice when I told him that.
"Very well Rook, We shall meet each other again, or not at all. Be safe" and with that he flew away.
I got my best friend to a hospital as quickly as possible as he was bleeding.
"Rook sama, Are you ok?" Kiyohii said. I had called her as I got to the hospital.
"Yea, It is Toby I am worried about. He is lucky Lucifer did not use his mace on him" I said.
The nurse came out and said that Toby was finally stabilized and regained consciousness.
I walked into the hospital room, and saw my best friend up, with bandages all around his waist.
"How you feeling you fool" I said jokingly, "You look like hell"
"Still better than you though" He said as a retort,
"A few broken ribs, some non-vital organs ruptured, You are lucky Lucifer did not hit you with his mace"
"Damn, I though he was powerful, I did not think I would wind up like Hurcule Satan" I laughed at that, he just smiled.
"Look, Try and recover, and I will find a way to deal with Lucifer, ok?"
"yea, I am not trying that again"
I left the hospital, and got home as fast as I could. I noticed bodies outside, with the uniform of the gang on.
"The hell happened here?" I asked.
"The real question is what the hell didn't happen here" Said Flame.
"Yea, they attacked us." Blade said. I saw Tamamo licking her paws, as they were bloody. I looked for Kiyohii,
"Rook sama" I looked and saw kiyohii with bloody clothes, but she was not hurt.
"I'm so glad you are ok Kiyohii" I hugged her for a while.
"Yea, Lucifer is not going to stop until either we join, or he kills us." I said after a while.
"Lucifer!?" Said Blade in disbelief.
"Yea, I had a nice chat with him."
"Tell us now Rook," Flame had said. "How do you really know Lucifer and the Children of Death"
I sighed, and as Ivy joined us all as we went inside, I started.
"This all happened a while ago, before the pandemic. I was a young man, Not much to do, so I had a few friends who did not like the norms or rules of society, we started a gang. I designed the emblem of the gang. It was along what we all found to be intimidating. We had people come from all walks of life, and all kinds of ambitions. Eventually, that is where I earned the nickname Rook, for being the smartest and darkest one in the whole bunch. It was during this time, that I had took on an underling, his name by birth was Lucifer. I saw a bit of myself in the kid, so I taught him everything I knew. Eventually, I saw him going hungry for power. And then, when the leader was gunned down, the body was still warm when he had purposed to take on the role of leader, and everyone automatically followed him." I took a drink of my drink.
"After that, they started to get more and more violent. I decided to leave because I did not want to be part of a tyrannical gang. And that is my story, and why I know Lucifer, as well as how I know this gang."
"who was the first person you killed?" Blade asked.
"Blade!" Flame had said, "Too soon"
"To be honest, I never actually killed anyone before gaining this power of mine."
"That would explain a lot" Flame had said. "I appreciate that you felt ok to confide this in us"
"You guys are my friends, What is a friendship without trust"
Kiyohii then pulled my head and stuffed it between her boobs, and Blade, Flame, and Ivy laughed as I felt my face heat up.
"Rook, please just fall asleep. You need to rest." she said, and rubbed my head, which started to make me feel drowsy.
Now we have to fight and dismantle the group I had helped to get started.
