"You know the laws on turning mortals, Woo," Seonghwa removes his hand from your knee, leaning forwards as he peers at his friend on an angle. Based on the platinum male's growing smirk, you could only assume that you wouldn't want to be on the receiving end.
"Oh yes," Wooyoung hisses, raising his hand to scratch his chin softly. "Yet as my memory stands, you are the King, Park Seonghwa. The King sets the laws, change them."
You feel yourself losing the ability to breathe again. It only peaks as the other male manages to make eye contact even with his stitched closed eyes. Seonghwa senses your unease as he leans back into the couch, uncrossing his legs so one is pressed against yours. You didn't understand why his touch would soothe you so quickly, but you were beyond grateful for it.
"Something like...One may be turned if the King's safety depends on it?" Wooyoung doesn't turn from you, his fingers resuming their task of tapping along the arms of the furniture. "A Queen of Death for her King of the Night."
"I appreciate your help," The change in Seonghwa's tone is an immediate sign that he is no longer interested in what the platinum male could have to say. He stands from the couch, reaching out to take your hand which you gladly do once more before helping you onto your feet.
"A guest leaves as another arrives. Not one as physical as the dark night King, yet one just as ruthless," Wooyoung chuckles, a sound which you know you won't forget for the next few weeks at least. "One more thing."
Seonghwa attempts to keep walking but is brought to an abrupt stop as a sudden gale of wind closes and bolts the doors to the living room, ones which don't even exist in the original house.
"Didn't anyone ever teach you manners, dearie?" There is the briefest moment of silence as Wooyoung suddenly appears right in front of you both. "You don't leave before your host dismisses you. I said one more thing did I not?"
The way he almost sounds human with this last statement only causes for you to tremble. Seonghwa's hand is pried from yours as Wooyoung traces your palm with the end of his nail. You wonder why the dark haired male isn't making any move to protect you. That is when you finally gaze at him through your peripheral vision and notice that he is in no position to move. Your own inability seems to be matching with his.
"I will let him go when I'm ready for you to leave," Wooyoung explains simply. He presses down on your palm with enough force to draw blood. The metallic substance trickles onto his nail as he raises it to Seonghwa's lips. "Look at the way his veins protrude from his eyes upon the simple scent of blood."
You don't want to move your head; you know the sight won't do well for your weakened stomach. Wooyoung clicks his tongue, an unseen force roughly snapping your head to the side. The dark stems seem to only be multiplying in number across Seonghwa's skin.
"A simple taste is all it will take for him to want more," The platinum haired male remarks. He goes to drag his nail across the vampire's lips but stops himself as his head turns to face behind him. "You have to go, I have a guest."
Before you can even begin to think about his words, you feel the tension within you leaving in sync with Seonghwa's. The dark haired male remains voiceless, taking your hand once more as he hurries to drag you out of the building. You don't remember the bolted doors being opened.
Everything until you are back in Seonghwa's original home. San and Jongho don't even reach your vision as you find yourself being assisted into a seated position on the staircase.
"Y/N," Seonghwa voices your name softly. He takes a position beside you but leaves enough space to ensure you are a hairs width apart. "You're safe."
