Seonghwa couldn't think. Not in the moment as Hongjoong twisted the blade deep within you before simply pulling it out again. There weren't enough words to describe the amount of fear the vampire king felt as he watched you fall to the ground by the other's feet.

Frozen, Seonghwa can only watch on as Hongjoong drops the bloodied knife to the ground. He salutes the King before blinking out of the apartment.

"Y/N!" San's voice pulls Seonghwa out of his daze as he peers over to the silver locked male who has rushed over to her side.

You lay with your mouth open agape as your hands try to cover the wound which has gone all the way through to the front. San crouches by you, reaching out to try and apply pressure to stop the bleeding.

"You need to get the car," Seonghwa can't even fawn a sense of calm, the urgency creeping through his tone. His feet manage to subconsciously bring him over to where you are. He silently replaces San's position.

"Mortals can't blink when they're injured. She'll bleed out," Jongho pipes up as he notices a look of hesitation upon San's features. It is clear to him that Seonghwa isn't thinking straight enough to be able to comprehend anything external to you.

"She'll bleed out if we waste time getting the car," The third in command exclaims. "We should just call an ambulance."

"Get the car," Seonghwa repeats himself, a familiar cool edge to his words. "Now." You pick up on the slight waver as the tears forming in his eyes finally comes to your attention. Both Jongho and San linger for not a moment longer as they blink back to the house.

You cough once they're gone, wincing at not only the pain but the unfamiliar metallic taste which has infiltrated your mouth. Seonghwa gazes down to your injury, the utter terror in his eyes being received by your similar expression.

He reaches for the handkerchief in his pocket – the one he tends to use on his bleeding eye – before gently using it to wipe away at the blood which has started to drip down from the crevice of your lips.

"I'm dying," You affirm to him, eyes wide as you cough slightly again. The blood in your throat is rapidly rising.

Seonghwa shakes his head once, "No." He reaches out with a trembling hand which he presses down over yours that are still covering the hole in your stomach. "I won't let you die."

Part of you wanted to ask if he were truly sure about that or if he was just trying to calm you down. Though based on his current stance, it seemed you would be the one doing the majority of the calming.

"Okay," You try to reach out to adjust you bloodied hand to intertwine with his. He gently accepts the offer, silently holding onto your hand to not only comfort you, but to comfort himself. Just as you consider saying something more to try and get to him, Jongho blinks back into the space.

"San is in the car and has it running," He exclaims before rushing over to you. Seonghwa lets go of your hand as he folds his handkerchief, placing it into his pocket once more.

"This is going to hurt," He mutters in time with his movements. His arms position to be holding your mid-back along with your legs. You scream out silently in pure pain, arms clutching your stomach. You only catch a brief glimpse of the pool of your own blood before Seonghwa runs out of the building with you in his arms. There was so much blood.

San was indeed waiting right on the curb by the time you arrived. Jongho didn't need to wait for orders as he opened the back door for Seonghwa to slide onto the seat with you. He positions your head to be cradled on his lap with the rest of you laying outward.
