You knew you were alone before allowing for your eyes to slowly crack open. The curtains had been left draped over the windows which lead out to the balcony even as the sunlight shone around the edges. Extending your arm across the bed, you could feel the empty space which only confirmed your suspicions.

Your partner from the night prior had disappeared. Where to, you were unsure. Part of you was surprised that you had been left to sleep in his room. Seonghwa had almost seemed like the kind to simply return you to the guest room.

Thinking of what you had shared on that balcony made your senses tingle. The memories of his touch against your skin...The feeling of having him so close and intimate...For your first time with a vampire, you weren't sure if you could ever go back to a mortal.

You lay on your back, taking deep breaths as you try to figure out what should be your next move. You had just opted to sleep with the person who you trusted the least in this house. At least San had made himself a reliable person to you.

He clearly had feelings for you which almost tore you up for your decision to go and sleep with Seonghwa after having shared that intimate session with the third in command a few hours prior. The possibility that his heightened hearing may have caused for him to hear your actions with Seonghwa made you feel even more guilty.

Though the fact that you had spent the night in the head vampire's room spoke loud enough. He had dressed you in some sort of night robe made from the most comfortable of silks. It was comfortable but it also reminded you of some sort of dresswear from a few century's ago.

Your stomach began to grumble softly, bringing to attention the fact that you hadn't eaten in quite a while. No doubt, Seonghwa would return home soon enough. Much against your will, you kick off the blankets before slipping out onto the floor.

The room is surprisingly warm. It had amazed you how warm this place was kept along with the warmth of Seonghwa's touch. It certainly hadn't been what you were expecting from these creatures.

As silently as possible, you make your way to the bedroom door. Pulling it open you enter the corridor. You barely make it through the doorway as you are greeted with San who stands at the top of the stairs.

An unreadable expression flashes across his eyes as they meet with yours. You try to smile gently, closing Seonghwa's door behind you. "Morning." You greet him kindly.

"It's almost two o'clock," Is all he says in return, tone almost bitter. Of course he would be angered by you. It would be unfair for you to expect anything less after what had happened.

"Can we talk?" You question, expression morphing to a frown. San makes no gesture to move from where you both stand as he simply nods once. "I'm sorry if I mislead you. To be honest with you, I do feel a connection between us. If we didn't have to be in that room yesterday, I reckon I would have allowed for you to have me in that dining hall."

"But you couldn't help but fall for his charms could you?" San states in a mocking manner. It was unlike the male to be behaving in such a matter and it made you feel quite uneasy. "That bastard is always getting what he wants. You don't have to be sorry, Y/N. There is yet to be someone who doesn't allow for their legs to open upon meeting his gaze."

Hearing the silver locked male treat you with such disregard hurt. He had appeared to be the only one in this place who truly placed your wellbeing above everything else.

"You don't have to respond to that," He continues before you have a chance. "I'm sorry, I'm just kind of annoyed. That shouldn't excuse my behaviour, but I don't know what else I can say."
