"Axel?" You stared at your ex, eyes as wide as saucers as you became quite unsettled by seeing him standing beside Hongjoong. He meets your stare, his own gaze filled with mixed emotions, the main ones being confusion and concern.

"Surprised to see us, pet?" Hongjoong interrupts your train of thought and sight, rushing to be standing right before you. The light haired male clasps his hands together in a sign of absolute joy, his sickening smirk extending over his features. "Just in time for the story."

San seems to be just as startled as you by the sudden appearance of these two. He only steps closer to you, trying to place himself between you and the others. Part of you assumes your new surroundings must be the home of Hongjoong, that would make sense for as to how San was unfazed by that element.

"I have nothing to listen too, especially not coming from you," You remark bitterly, trying to remove yourself from the situation as you grab San's wrist, hoping he will blink you out.

"I haven't excused you," Wooyoung pipes up, a soft chuckle emitting from the depths of his throat. A familiar cool breeze coats your skin, a firm reminder as to Wooyoung's ability to drain all possibilities of anyone using magic within his house.

"You should hear him out," Axel speaks calmly, his hesitant gaze meets yours again. One day that may have been enough to calm you into a state where you would be willing to do whatever he required of you.

Whilst this had lost its full effect over you, it was still enough to calm you subtly enough that you were somewhat okay with standing still to hear out whatever the monster who had stabbed and killed you had to say.

"Sorry for that by the way," Hongjoong grimaces as he gestures towards your abdomen, where the blade had gone through you body. "Though in my defence, I didn't think you would allow for Seonghwa to turn you."

You got to retort these words, but it doesn't seem to be necessary as the silver haired male's expression falters. "He didn't ask you," He says matter-of-factly. "That is typical of dearest Hwa I suppose. None of us should be surprised, he does whatever is most beneficial for himself and himself only. Nothing can stop him, not even the laws apparently."

There is a brief pause as you turn to glance at San. He doesn't recept your worried look, only clenching his jaw as he simply waits for Hongjoong to continue.

"Dear Sannie could have told you this, he was there for it all," The silver haired male exclaims before returning to the topic of discussion. "As I briefly mentioned upon our last meeting, Seonghwa and I used to be the best of friends."

He no longer seems to care about the others in the room, his eyes only focused on you – including his turned eye which still sent shivers down your spine.

"I could always tell something was off about him, he could snap so easily from being the Hwa I knew and loved to the Hwa who wanted me dead. That wasn't normal, not even for a vampire King. San even agreed with my concerns, he took to me to see Wooyoung as he knew Woo would be the only person who could possibly predict this thing," Hongjoong pauses to glance at the silver locked male for a brief moment.

"When our concerns were confirmed, we didn't know what to do. It was only proved to be a more dire situation after Seonghwa chose to infiltrate Wooyoung's home and tear him apart. It became clear that this thing in him would only be pushed aside when I was around and happy. The final weeks consisted of me doing my best to portray two people. I had to act like normal yet I had to plan an attack for how to rescue Hwa from himself behind his back. This eventually led to-"

Hongjoong is interrupted by Wooyoung who opts to finish the story. "The King of the Night realised those closest to him were turning against him. He wouldn't let them continue such childish behaviour. It became too apparent that Hongjoong was required to leave. Soon commenced the long Battle of Fright. San could only stand aside and watch on as the King fought with his best friend. This resulted in both sides being wounded from the fifty-two hours of fighting. Hongjoong vowed to ensure Seonghwa would live a life filled with heartbreak and hurt. But the young one's mind soon changed as more information came to light. It was possible to free the being which trapped Seonghwa. He could bring him back. So now he seeks the assistance of the Queen of the Night."
