This whole argument with Nathi's family made me realize that no family is indeed as perfect as I've imagined.
They're indifferent and they have unsolved problems, that also made me realize how stubborn and rude Nathi can be.
Though I can't help but wonder why they hate each other so damn much.
I stare at Nathi as he concentrates on the road and I notice that his jaw is clenched, which is evident that he's still angered. He remains quiet and I miserably hate the speed he's using.
He could get us killed for crying out loud.
"Please slow down," I plead but he completely ignores me.
"Nathi," I yell in frustration when he skips a red robbot.
Now I'm fully determined that he wants the both of us dead.
"Would you please slow the fuck down," I furiously yell.
He glares at me with complete surprise and I think it's because of the tone and the vulgar word I've chose to use.
He literally gave me no choice.
He pulls aside at the near gravel empty spot.
He glares at me silently and I can't help how his stare burns but I don't give in into showing him how uncomfortable I am.
"Are you using that tone with me Busisiwe?"
He's definitely angry but he controls himself by talking softly and calmly.
"What was I suppose to do. I speak with you but you choose to just ignore me. Do you want to get us killed Nathii?" My voice willingly trembles and I suddenly see remorse in his eyes.
He sighs and rests his head on the starring wheel.
"I'm sorry sthandwa. I didn't mean to scare you," he sighs.
He makes me worry when he's not the talkative jolly black man I've terribly fell inlove with.
"It's okay. Don't you want to talk about it?" I brush his back to calm him down and it seems to be working quite well.
"It's complicated Busi. I don't want to discuss this with you, okay," he dismissly utters.
But we have to discuss it, maybe not now but when he's ready to talk. I'm a persuasive person, I'll certainly drive him in to speaking eventually.
"But I don't like what happened back there. Your brothers saved me Nathi? How did that happen? Why can't you even thank them atleast?"
I try to remain calm. This matter is really making me angry and the fact that he doesn't talk to me about these stuff makes me wanna explode."We'll talk about this when we arrive at home."
He better or else I'll definitely show him the side of myself I knew nothing about.
With that said he drives off. I won't say a word, I tried talking but he won't budge so I'll freakly remian quiet to maintain peace between us.
I notice we're not heading to the airport which is clearly confusing.
"Where are we going?"
"KZN," he mumbles.
"We no longer flying there?"
Duh. ofcourse we're not."No."
Argh. I hate the grumpy Nathi. I might as well make myself comfortable because it's going to be a long five hour drive.
Nathi is really stubborn and that annoys me.
His phone rings.
"Khanyi?"
