Fran POV

Dream

It had been a rainy day, gloomy almost. I had to stop it. I had to stop it now. Running as fast as I could through the downpour, Victoria's order ringing in my thoughts.

"You have my permission to use Zicterium. Purge the vampires!"

I had to keep running. Maybe I could still stop it. I had to, for the sake of everyone.

'Hurry, Fran. Hurry!'

Finally, I made it. But, I couldn't even begin to comprehend what my eyes had laid on. Bodies, spread all over the forest floor. Men, women, and children vampires. I was too late.

Dream End

With a start, I shot up in bed, breathing hard and with sweat dripping down my face. It was just a dream, but it was all too real. And it had actually happened. I sat there in my bed for a minute, trying to catch my breath, before placing my hand on my forehead.

"I wish it was nothing more than a dream."

Third POV

News about the train hijacking had spread throughout the city, and immediately made its way to the royal family. Victoria and Leonhardt were analyzing the newspaper that had the pictures of the five men, but something else caught the royal's eye. An article below the main heading, a picture of a winged woman. However, there were no main features on her, making her unidentifiable for the moment.

"Last week's train incident is being investigated as a terrorist attack led by Victor Frankenstein, and his shadowy group of conspirators," Leonhardt reported.

While the train hijacking came as a surprise to some, Victoria wasn't at all shocked. Her arms were kept crossed as she kept her magenta eyes on the newspaper.

"That must be Finis's doing," she began as she brought her hand to Fran's photo.

She smirked, knowing that she had a history with the alchemist quite well. But, she also had another thought in mind.

"Well, it's no matter. What's clear is that Finis desperately wants to get his hands on those monsters. As I recall, you told me you saw them, did you not, Captain Leonhardt?" She asked the strict captain.

He looked down at the paper once again while keeping his hands behind him. He remembered the appearance of the two girls he had encountered quite well, (Y/N)'s slightly glowing eyes still imbedded in his memory.

"Yes," he reported once again.

Queen Victoria kept her eyes on the paper, but it wasn't on Fran's image.

"You know, I heard the older monster that you encountered was quite something. Some of your soldiers said she was quite beautiful," she said to the Captain once again.

Leonhardt kept his same stoic expression, but he was unaware that his soldiers had said that about a monster like her.

"Yes, but she's dangerous, Your Majesty. Her eyes held something that I had never seen before in my life," Leonhardt warned.

Victoria stayed silent, but this was quite an interesting development. With her smirk still on her face, Victoria kept her arms crossed as she stood up from her desk.

"My interest is peaked. If we manage to get our hands on the monsters before Finis, I wonder. How will he react then?"
